A recently renovated apartment in Quito, Republica del Salvador Coliving Ecuador XOE offers picnic area, private parking and sports facilities. Prime location right near Carolina Park, loads of restaurants and easy walking distance to both Quicentro and El Jardin malls. Apartment was furnished with very nice decor, premium finishes-seemed new. Very clean and freshly scented upon walking in, smelled like cookies! :-) Security guards were very helpful with access to floor on elevator each time we needed to access. We were not sure if our stay included access to the Terrace level or not, but we had friends in the building who brought us up there and it is stunning! If guests can access it, please let them know. Loved that it was pet-friendly, we will consider staying again when we need to visit Quito in the future.

Set within less than 1 km of Bolivar Theatre and a 9-minute walk of Colonial Art Museum, CASA ANABELA HOTEL BOUTIQUE offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Quito. The hotel is in a great location close to plaza Independencia and the Basilica and churches as well as restaurants. The rooms are simply decorated, which we like, and are spacious and well equipped. We found the beds very comfortable and they readily supplied us with extra blankets and a heater since we were there during a Rainy cold spell. It has a lovely courtyard, a library of Spanish books which I appreciated to help practice reading Spanish and an inside balcony to sit in the sun. But the best part are the proprietors and helper. Maria who manages the place is a gem! She was warm and helpful and even invited us to join her and her husband and son to participate in the Dia del Muertos festivities, which was fascinating. Lenny, her husband, explained what was going on to us in English. It was authentic and kind to include us as friends. Lenny also was our driver and guide to Cotopaxi and another day when we went to Mindo. Their helper, Matty, was lovely too - Just so joyful! - and she helped me with my Spanish. We stayed there a total of 5 days. Two nights before the Galapagos and three nights after. We felt like we made new friends and were sad to leave them!
