Chirris Hostel is a charming accommodation right near the main street that leads to the public boats. The staff were very friendly and checkin was quick and easy. They were able to arrange for me to join a group sunrise hike of Rostra Maya. The dormitory room was comfortable and had small lockers as well as a shelving unit. There was a small kitchen and clean shared toilet and shower area. I would definitely recommend staying here and will come back next time I am San Juan.

The hosts obviously… the most amazing couple, super friendly, lovely, professional and people that put love into what they do. The space is the most amazing room we ever had. The connection with nature, the details, THE VIEW! You won’t find anything like the peace you find in this place! We should have kept it for a honeymoon! …forgot the food and the drinks and the staff, everything is perfect.

We stayed in the studio and just loved it!!! It was beautiful, and charming. Incredible views of the volcanos. A stunning walk to Santa Cruz town. The paddle boards were a treat. We loved everything about our stay.

The property was beautiful! It has amazing lake views, the staff was very attentive and friendly, and the location was ideal (very easy to get around on a Tuk Tuk). We stayed here as a family of 4 and it was great! Definitely recommend for your next stay!

I like staying with the little family, they had cute chickens and a rooster. I love the view from their house. I had a private balcony in a private apartment with shower, bathroom and dressing room; bed with bug net and a bunch of windows to see the lake outside and volcanoes.

Amazing view of the lake, safe (albeit lively - bring ear plugs) neighborhood, very well equipped apartment with fully stocked kitchen (even had oil and salt), extremely clean and comfortable bed and mattresses, very convenient location that was walking distance to the piers, restaurants, and tour agencies/hotels that you can book activities with. The host was very kind and polite, and recommended very well priced food, transportation and tour options. The host was also accommodating in allowing the guest to leave luggage in the apartment before and after check in and check out times.
