Gringo Perdido is a little paradise. Surroundings, the staff and the place were incredible. The food that is included in the stay was my absolute favourite of our stay, incredibly delicious.

I loved everything about this place and wished I would have stayed for weeks! The room was big, clean, comfortable with an amazing view on the lake, especially at sunset and sunrise, when you can see a lot of birds (among which green parakeets, red-lored parrots, etc.). There were mosquito nets, but I didn’t see a single mosquito throughout my 3-night stay. The AC was quiet and worked perfectly, and the room had great Wi-Fi I used for a work video call. The room comes with a balcony, where you can find a table, chairs and hammock. There is also a kitchen you can use in common spaces. Umberto is an amazing host! He is very kind and helped me throughout my stay, even offering to lend me money when I had trouble withdrawing from the ATM, which I really appreciated in this stressful situation. He arranged my tours to Yaxha and Tikal, and the hotel’s location is very convenient, right where shuttle and colectivos stop and just in front of El Remate’s only ATM. It is a 5 min walk from the laundry shop, and within a 5 min walk from many great cafes and restaurants (Cahui, La Puerto, Casa de Don David, Doña Mari, etc.). I hesitated between staying in El Remate or Flores, but now that I have been to both, I am happy that I got to experience a quieter side of Lake Petén, with better sunset views and amazing restaurants, closer to Tikal and Yaxha archaeological sites. Highly recommended!

La Casa Colorada se nachází v destinaci San Benito. Ubytování nabízí pokojovou službu a venkovní gril. Super nice hosts, very helpful, great hospitality! Besides the hotel the hosts are working on a project for the benefit of the local community (including a French language school for kids, regular clean up activities, ...) - both have a very inspiring energy!:) The place itself is very nice and comfy, with a great rooftop terrace where a small, but very delicious breakfast is served at an extra cost.

Las Luciernagas Hotel se nachází v destinaci Flores a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, soukromou pláž a terasu. We stayed at the resort for 4 days. We had a kind welcome by the staff. They helped us with our luggage and gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room. The staff is very friendly and adorable, they helped us in different ways. They were very kind, talkative, helpful, professional, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast is delicious, filling, fresh, and affordable: the yogurt bowl comes with a lot and different type of fruits. The view of the hotel is super nice, with this lake, and the animals like iguanas, monkeys, and squirrels. Definitely the perfect place to relax and recharge your battery! They offer a free boat service in which they pick you up and drop you off at the main island. It was very flexible and they were always on time. They were always very responsive on Whatsapp which was nice. They always replied within a few minutes. The thing that stood out the most was that the attention to the client was very distinguished and this bought to an high satisfaction from our side. HIGHLY recommended! Hotel Mon Ami se nachází v El Remate a nabízí terasu a výhled na jezero Peten. V restauraci se podávají guatemalská a francouzská jídla. Hotelové pokoje mají terasu s výhledem na jezero. Very cute bungalow (close to the Peten Lake even though the lake was 1 m above normal tide). We loved talking to the owner, the bungalow was super cozy and pretty (had the one most above) and all seemed very new.

Guest house Posada Ixchel se nachází v destinaci El Remate, v budově z roku 2000, a nabízí a pokoje s bezplatným Wi-Fi. Jen 34 km odtud je Národní park Tikal. The woman is very nice to wait for us even though we arrived very late at night, around 11PM. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets. Great location, nice and friendly staff, safe parking

Finca Ixobel se nachází v destinaci Ixobel. Tento hotel se 3 hvězdičkami nabízí zahradu, terasu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Incredible and comfortable jungle cabañas in a green environment with great services and great restaurant. Staff very kind and friendly. Good position for who is moving back and forth between Flores and Rio Dulce.
