The staff really make all the difference — the cleaners, reception, baggage storage team and security were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The bathrooms were consistently spotless, which I really appreciated. Every time I walked in, the reception team and security staff always greeted me with a smile and a warm "hi". Would definitely stay here again! Special thank you to Elvira, Diana, Fati, Liz and Meli for the warm hospitality and excellent customer service.

Just 8 minutes drive from the Velasco Astete Airport, the Sonesta Hotel Cusco is less than 1 km from the city centre. All rooms feature a mountain or city view. Facilities and the staff, very nice!!

Wyndham Costa del Sol Cusco is a converted 17th-century mansion located in Cusco’s centre, a few steps away from Cusco Main Square and La Merced Church. Stayed here at very short notice after completing the 4 day Inca Trail. Couldn't ask for more! Comfy bedroom with large bathroom with bath and shower. Complimentary cocktails included. Just what we needed after 3 nights in a tent!! The staff were very accommodating too. Loved this hotel.

Yanuy Culinary Stay and Taste ligger 2,7 km från Wanchaqs järnvägsstation och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge, en terrass och ett gemensamt kök. Michael is an excellent host, very professional, with good advice re restaurants and how to get to various sightseeing spots. The breakfasts were plentiful and well made. They did laundry for us and ordered taxis for us twice for a reasonable price. This is a guesthouse, not a formal hotel, so if you are looking for fancy, then this is not the place for you. What you will get is a comfortable bed, a warm room, lots of hot water available for showers, and a tea station where you can help yourself. We had some great conversations with Michael and really enjoyed our stay. We felt at home there.

Anido Hotel ligger i Ollantaytambo i Cusco, 19 km från Bus Station och 19 km från Main Square. Här finns en trädgård. Boendet har rumsservice och conciergeservice och kan även bistå med valutaväxling.... This is an excellent hotel located right in the city center. The wonderful receptionist, Carmen, was incredibly kind. I arrived late at night, and she welcomed me with a warm smile and offered me a cup of tea. The room was clean and tidy, with soap and shampoo provided—everything you could wish for at this price. Additionally, there was bottled water and tea in the room. Breakfast was a buffet—not the most varied, but fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place for a one- or two-night stay!

Spirit Of The River Lodge ligger i Cusco och har bergsutsikt, en restaurang, en bar, en trädgård, en terrass, en lekplats och rumsservice. I loved everything! The place is truly beautiful and peaceful. I found it very relaxing, especially with the yoga room located right above the river. The sauna was the perfect way to end the day. The accommodation is also conveniently close to the hiking trail to the Salt Mines (Salineras) — I absolutely loved it!

KOSKO Casa Hotel ligger i Cusco, 5,2 km från Wanchaqs järnvägsstation, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Owner Romulo and his staff are so nice, they are always ready to help and tell you everything about Cusco. The hostal is on the outskirts of the city (close to some Inca relics) and I had to catch ride to MachuPichu at 3am, Romulo was really considerate that he said it’s probably hard to hire Uber so he booked a cab for me and ensure a fair price is charged. The room is clean and cozy, very good value. I hope the best for everything for them. Hopefully one day I return and chill with them!

Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba ligger i Sahuayacu, 17 km från Huayna Picchu, 19 km från Machu Picchu och 19 km från Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum. We stayed at the Refugio de Mery during the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. When we arrived, Mery offered us a very refreshing Maracuja juice ( the best I had during my stay in Peru!). They gave us a private room with a private bathroom, with a hot shower! ( It was the first place offering us such a treatment during the trek!). The place itself is breathtaking, particularly the terrace above the shop, where we could chill in an amaca resting from the walk. The food was amazing: the dinner was delicious, and everything was cooked at the moment ( an appetizer made with toasted bread with oil, lomo saltado, arroz, fried banana, vegetables). The best thing was undoubtedly the breakfast: handmade guacamole ( km 0, as they grow the avocado!), espresso coffee ( km 0 as well!), omelette, papaya juice, bread, cheese and honey! Such a lovely place, and the host and her family are the kindest people we met along the trek. We highly recommend this place if you're doing the Salkantay Trek.
