Pet friendly (they gave us bowls and a blanket to keep) and super helpful and kind staff. Location is in the centre which makes everything easy to reach by foot. All facilities clean. The pool is small but warm and when we went, we were all alone. The hammam and sauna are great too and very enjoyable. The breakfast was exceptional - huge variety even for vegans. The champagne and treats on arrival are also a nice touch!

Rita herself is really warm and welcomed us with bottle of wine. The apartment is really cozy but so easy to live in! The kitchen was well-stocked and the air conditioning was a great relief as we stayed on some hot days. Rita was extra welcoming to our cat - they provided litter box, scratch post (which our cat LOVED), and a hiding place. As we are often crawling around after our cat’s toys, the apartment is REALLY clean. This apartment was unique bringing Guimarães inside through artistic touches and info. The location is a quick walk to everywhere. They really go ABOVE and take GREAT CARE of their guests. We will be back in the winter!

Quinta de Cypriano - Wine & Nature is set in Ponte da Barca and has a pool with a view and garden views. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Beautiful room and location! The bed was very comfortable, the shower was excellent and the little kitchenette in the room was useful. Our dogs were also very welcome and loved walking around the vineyard. We didn’t use the pool but I’m sure it would be lovely on a hot day! Breakfast was simple but delicious and served in the family house. We would recommend it for one night, or a few nights so you can relax into the stunning surroundings.

Dajas Douro Valley - Exclusive Villas is a recently renovated farm stay in Sande, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and bar. Loved everything about the property! We stayed in the room, last one on the left. Loved the view from the balcony, the room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious! Walked around the property and loved everything! Would definitely recommend and come back!
