I injured my back quite badly during my stay whilst out from the hotel, when I came back the staff especially on front desk were so helpful. I’d like to give a particular mention to frank on front desk, I could barely walk and he was kind enough to offer to get my car from the parking lot and bring it to the reception so I could head to the hospital. Please pass on my regards to him and recognise him for going above and beyond.

The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, always going the extra mile to meet our needs with warmth and friendliness. The room was quiet, spacious, and spotlessly clean, well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast spread was more than adequate, offering a wide range of delicious options to start the day. The location was exceptional, providing easy access to everything we wanted to explore. Additionally, requesting a crib for my baby was a seamless process, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

The room and the property in general is VERY clean. The sheets and blankets are so soft The bed is very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm No bathtub, but rather a very spacious shower with great water pressure. The bathroom has amazing smelling hand soap (not a soap bar) and body lotion. Breakfast has more options than most locations

It is close to the highway which is very convenient. Hotel room is big and has everything you need. Staff is also very friendly. There's coffee available for the whole day and breakfast is simple but will get you through the morning.

So glad I found this place and decided to stay here rather than in any of the bigger downtown hotels. I don’t think I have ever had a warmer, more welcoming reception at any hotel - Anna at the front desk was just wonderful, and everyone else that I encountered was super friendly, too. Loved the retro look, the lounge and patio are fantastic, great coffee in the morning, squeaky clean room with a very (!) comfortable bed. On top of that, the location is hard to beat, I could walk everywhere, felt entirely safe (a concern for women traveling solo), and even though the hotel sits off a busy three lane street, there were no noise issues whatsoever. Recommendations for breakfast places were spot on, too. Oh, and free parking on the premises, in downtown. The Longleaf will definitely be my first choice in Raleigh from now on!
