The Villa was absolutely beautiful and in a stunning location overlooking the sea and across to Stromboli. The sunsets from the balcony were amazing. The villa also overlooks Spiaggia di Riaci which in my opinion is one of the best beaches in the area. You can reach it from the villa down a steep walkway but we chose to drive there. Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean and we had a lovely terrace outside with a table and chairs. The rooms were also serviced daily. The outdoor pool was lovely to have to be able to relax on a morning or afternoon. Again the outdoor areas and pool are spotless. Tropea is a less than 10 minute drive but you can also walk in (approximately 40 to the old town) it is well lit up and there is a footpath all the way one you reach the end of the small road to the villa. We did this one evening , it is no problem for those used to walking. In my opinion it is advisable to have a car as otherwise it would limit your ability to explore the area. There is gated private parking provided at the villa. The breakfast provided by Dominica and the staff was definitely one of the best breakfasts we have had in all our visits to Italy. Your choice of coffees freshly prepared and a buffet of fresh breads, croissants, local meat, grilled vegetables, fruit, eggs and Dominica’s freshly baked savory tarts and sweet cakes were all exceptional. Dominica, her husband & all the staff made our stay a vey memorable experience. Villa D’Aquino is definitely a little oasis of paradise!

What a great find! Great and new in a fabulous location. Supermarkets close by as well as cafes. Stroll into Old Town with ease. Elena was so helpful pre arrival and even booked a taxi for us. Nothing was ever a problem. All of the staff were super friendly and the lovely young lady at breakfast could not do enough for us. Highly recommended.
