Located at 1,640 metres above sea level in Katschberghöhe, 500 metres from the Gamskogel Express Cable Car, Das Alpenhaus Katschberg 1640 inkl Lungau Card offers ski-to-door access and a 600 m² spa... The location was perfect. You exit the ski room and you are basically on the ski slope. The whole complex is perfectly clean including the spa, ski room and the room itself. Rooms are cozy, very well furnished and clean! Our room also had sauna in it so we didn’t use the public spa much. One of the best price to performance hotels i have ever been to. The staff is also extremely helpful and friendly. 10/10, would recommend.

Clean, comfy room, big bathroom with a shower, fantastic food and amazing staff in the restaurant overlooking Worthersee. Staff is there to help you with all kinds of wishes. Kids enjoyed the huge garden with the playground and the walks on the promenade next to the lake. We will definitely be back.

Boasting pool with a view and views of pool, Villa-Stern is a recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Keutschach am See, 3.2 km from Viktring Abbey. We chose this beautiful place for our stay during Ironman Klagenfurt. We wanted somewhere relaxing but not too far from the race venue and this was perfect. I cannot describe how beautiful the scenery is and our suite at villa stern had a beautiful balcony and private terrace area to enjoy nature at its best. The whole of villa stern looks newly refurbished with a mix of modern and traditional furniture, The bathroom is a good size with lovely walk in shower, the water pressure was great and never short of hot water.. we had a separate lounge area to the bedroom. Both the lounge and bedroom opened out onto the balcony all with direct views to the pool and amazing forests. It is absolutely peaceful. Every morning breakfast is served from 8-10am, but on race day they prepared it for us for 4 am. The hosts are a couple and they are fantastic. They are so accommodating and will do anything to help make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was everything from hot cooked breakfast, to cheese and cold cuts, to cereals, yoghurts, fruits, croissants and regional delicacies, as well as a great coffee machine and a mix of teas and fruit juices. I cannot fault the cleanliness it was immaculate and they change the linens whenever you wanted and organised the room cleaning when you wanted too. The hosts also provide trips to venice which is just 2.5 hours away or if you go in winter they can take you just 30 mins down the road to a ski resort. The Villa Stern also has some bikes if you want to take them out for a ride. There is a cycle track just a couple of hundred metres down the road so it's really convenient. Viktring is just 10km down the road and there you can find shops and restaurants, but you will soon come to know that the villages surrounding lake klagenfurt are full of places to visit and dine. We had a fantastic time and are coming back next year for sure.
