The room was very large and we had the best view. The room was clean and the housekeepers left little flourishes that made us feel most welcome.

This unique location — a fortress — offered superb accommodation for my tour group. The Tower room offered excellent opportunities for morning birdwatching; all rooms were clean; staff were very friendly and helpful with offers of maps, local sights, and opportunity for local activity bookings; breakfast was served fresh and promptly each morning; and the location is in a quieter and secure neighbourhood (El Eden). This was by far the favourite accommodation among tour guests compared with two other similarly priced locations in Galapagos (Santa Cruz and Isabela). I cannot say enough good things about La Fortaleza and look forward to returning with more guests in the future. A big thanks to hosts Gianna and Roberto!

Comfortable rooms with excellent mattresses and perfectly working AC. Great location with a supermarket, a pharmacy and some good restaurants within short walking distance, yer quiet. Nice little pool. 5-star breakfast prepared by Diego, the manager, who is the hell of a nice guy and runs the place in a perfect manner.

Very nice location on a quiet side street, but real close to the docks. Breakfast is buffet style with eggs/omelette to order. Breakfast starts early, which gives you a chance to eat and still catch early day trips.
