Rooms are big and comfortable. Location is good, at the edge of village, convenient still quiet. Staff are helpful. Rooftop is great for bird watching.

There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!

As for the property, the WiFi is good, breakfast is delicious, the swimming pool is amazing

Very nice place, beautiful spacious rooms, nice staff speaking English, parking on site, breakfast on beautiful terrace, everything was good! If you go out in the evening there are nice bars and restaurants not too far away, seem to be quite safe on sea side, in general nice town.

Had a great stay at Viejamar! Rodrigo’s and Soraya were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, they made my stay comfortable and easy! Lovely place right on beach! Not too noisy at night (at times, mainly from neighbouring facilities). I would definitely come back here!

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant with panoramic beach views, Balandra offers rooms and bungalows with garden views in Manta. Wi-Fi is free and El Murciélago Beach is 100 metres away.... fabulous hotel, lovely restaurant with great food and views. Breakfast buffet is fab.
