With lake views, Gal Oya Lake Club is situated in Paraganakele and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. Absolutely speechless. We stayed three full days in this beautiful property with my wife. Our days were filled with serene and calm pool days with amazing boat safari, kayaking and massages. The service was exceptional, food was amazing and the rooms were absolutely amazing. It almost geels that I have no words on how much we enjoyed our stay. The service, quality and the attention to detail made all the difference. If you are looking to visit a beautiful property with amazing pools and the opportunity to do some boat safaris and other activities, then I highly suggest it. Greetings from Finland! Catherine and her husband were the best hosts ever. The place is very well taken care of, helped us with arranging quality surfing lessons, laundry and even tuktuk rental.

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. The owner is truly adorable and extremely accommodating, as is Karim, and the whole staff takes great care of every guest. From the moment you arrive, you feel at home. The meals are excellent, the place is spacious, beautifully decorated, and the rooms are spotless. The hotel is right on the beach and still close to the town center, making it the perfect location. Our stay was unforgettable, and we are very grateful for the warmth and kindness we received here. This is a place not to be missed in Arugam Bay — we highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Thank you so much to the entire Villa Del Mar team for making our trip so special!

The hosts Krishan and Padma are so nice, generous, helpful. You absolutely have to have dinner. Sri Lanka’s specialities are served. They even helped us organising a safari and a transfer to our next destination. We had a wonderful time with both of them!
