Brilliant views, room was clean and the view from the balcony excellent. Very generous breakfast and dinner was good to, liked the ability to pre-order by phone. Staff were really friendly, pool a good size and clean.

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.

Both the indoor as the outdoor spaces are incredible. Peaceful and beautiful. Here you can really step out of your busy routines and enjoy nature and calmness, with lots of beautiful hikes nearby.

Quinta de Cypriano - Wine & Nature is set in Ponte da Barca and has a pool with a view and garden views. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. We were looking for a hotel to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was important for us to find a pet-friendly place. We came across this hotel and immediately loved how it looked in the photos. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised — everything was even more beautiful, stylish, and authentic than we had imagined. We were so impressed by the quality: the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, the bed linens were luxurious, everything felt like a true five-star experience. The towels were large and fluffy, and there were cozy blankets thoughtfully placed for guests to wrap themselves up while enjoying the balcony. They even provided sun hats for strolls through the vineyards — such attention to detail made everything feel so special. Waking up to the sound of birds singing in the morning was pure magic. It brought back nostalgic memories of childhood visits to our grandmother’s house in the countryside — so peaceful and heartwarming. One of the highlights of our stay was the authentic family dining room. Leonor shared a bit of its history with us, showing us portraits of her grandparents who once owned this quinta. It felt like such an honor to have breakfast in that room, gathered around one big table with other guests, like one big family — it was truly a unique and lovely experience. We left feeling completely recharged, having explored the beautiful surrounding areas as well. Leonor even sent us a thoughtfully prepared PDF with recommendations for sightseeing, lunch, dinner, and some local history, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We are incredibly grateful for this experience — it was everything we hoped for and more!
