Fão, where the Hostel is located is a charming village and has restaurants if you don’t want to use the kitchen at the hostel.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature next to the river. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with large balconies. The courtyard with the small farm and the indoor and outdoor pool give the place a special charm. Breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to relax.

Vale de São Torcato Hotel Rural is situated in Guimarães, 4.3 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Set in Viana do Castelo and facing Lima River, the AP Dona Aninhas is 2 minutes' walking from the city centre. The location was perfect. Right in the centre of the town. Breakfast was unbelievable, everything you could wish for was available. The room was comfortable.
