The location was beautiful with mountain views. All the staff was very helpful and exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was worth it- complete and varied. In overall, I enjoy my stay. Located near Serra da Estrela, this 250-year old manor house has historic furnishings and artistic accessories. Each themed room is a reminder of older way of life. This is literally an old mansion that has been nicely modernized but retains an immense amount of the original character and details. Decent amount of parking on the street in front. Great breakfast. We had the better room with a massive king bed. Modern bathroom. Good heaters. You have the use of many of the common rooms for relaxing. Library. Pool table. Sitting room. Massive dining rooms all in period decor. Amelia who operates this home is very lovely and pleasant.

We had a fantastic experience at the hotel, especially enjoying the thermal pool – it was amazing! What stood out to us was the exceptional service, both by the pool and at the bar. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also had a toast for dinner one evening, and it was delicious! The price was very reasonable for such great quality. Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for relaxation and great service.

The rooms are clean and cozy with heated floors, the views are incredible! The breakfast was delicious and varied with, again, a great view! The staff are excellent, super friendly and just a WhatsApp message away! The spa area is super nice and relaxing! Bonus points for having chargers for electric cars.

Quinta Lourena is a hidden gem! A little oasis hidden south of Guarda. This quinta hotel is ideal for a retreat away from distractions and stress. The bed is comfy, the room is clean, the pool is perfect, the breakfast exceeded our expectations and the host is very welcoming and lovely including Lourena the cat which is the princess of this cherry Quinta. We stayed only one night because we were traveling, but this place is ideal for at least 3 days as a retreat.
