This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful, quiet, residential area about 7 minutes drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The extension to the back of the original property has been tastefully done and the bedrooms and bathrooms have been finished to a high standard. The living room area where breakfast is served in the original part of the house has a real warmth to it, especially if the fire is going in the winter. The breakfast itself is substantial, so much so that I skipped lunch. The owner and the staff are delightful. Good value for money.

Boschendal was stunning and we loved our Retreat Cottage for our family of four. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and the facilities were all beyond our expectations. Great breakfast with beautiful views. The wine tasting situation was initially not ideal because they seemed to be very crowded and stressed, but it all worked out in the end and they went out of their way to make up for it. The wine was great.

Esme was so fantastic for all information about the area, the stay. The place was beautiful and fitted out for comfort with double glazing, beautiful bed linen, great aircon.

Upon arrival we felt a sense of belonging. Warmly welcomed by Limo and the host that checked in with us prior. Upon entering you are captured with tranquility and an ambiance as if you're about to have a Spa treatment. Everything was carefully yet meticulously thought through from Interior decor design to Architectural composition, all very well composed throughout. We will definitely be back to experience sundowners and sunsoaking surrounded with expansive views and a touch of nature. Very well located walking distance to nature and well renowned wine estate on your doorstep. Breakfast was amazing and catered for all.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. They went out of their way to buy almond milk for a coffee. And also had a cute friendly dog
