KosovoI recently had the pleasure of staying at Olivia's Hill in Durres and it was an exceptional experience. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The rooms were great, spacous and very clean providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The pool area was a highlight, offering a tranquil oasis to unwind. The location was good and quiet.
Olivia's Hill provided a perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and outstanding hospitality. We enjoyed every moment during our stay and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Durres.
Note: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my honest opinion.

It's located close to the center of Izola - a car is not needed (nor recommended) to visit it. From the back entry, the Dolphin Beach is just a few steps away. It's a rocky shore, but there are several stairs into the water. The inside pool is filled with salty water, which is great. Italy is not far away, you can see Trieste across the sea. It's an expensive city. There's no information to get around with Google Maps, so most of the time you have to see information at the bus stop on how you will be going. Beautiful old town, I ate in 4 different restaurants and it was all delicious. Definitely go and sit for an hour at sunset at the sea organ, it's an experience I will always remember. Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. Very easy to reach from the airport. Interesting old town and amphitheatre with beaches a short distance away but the seafront is disappointing and there is no access to the sea in the town itself as it is mainly industrial. Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches. The restaurants are good as well, and anybody can find something to pass the time. The nightlife is very active, there are many oppurtinites to have a party. Who is looking for a more quiet holiday, they should consider book their aparment away from the city center. The beaches are good but sometimes overcrowded. If you plan to visit other places in Istria, Porec is a good "home base". Everything is 50-70km away.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 10.0
Easy to walk around Rovinj.
Easy to walk around Rovinj. There is pay parking right at the dock before you get to the old town but I recommend goin a bit further up the hill where the parking is free. I would opt for restaurants that do not have a photo menu but that is my personal bias. We enjoyed a sunset cruise in the fjords and dolphin watching. We also enjoyed some truffle hunting about an hour outside of Rovinj which was well worth the drive.
