BulgariaThe staff was lovely and helpful! Location is perfect, less than 5 minutes away from the center. The beds are incredibly comfortable, room and bathroom are kept clean everyday. There is a smart TV which has all apps if you wish to log in Netflix, Disney Plus etc. There is a parking near the hotel, which cost 4EUR (cash only) for 24h, very affordable. In case you don't wish to pay, if there is available space to park for free you can do so, or ask the staff to keep you a place. I had an amazing time.

Our stay was a great chance to get to know local people and learn more about Albania. Our host was very helpful in setting us up with a boat tour to the Shala River and gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant. We stayed for three nights and wished we'd stayed longer.

IndiaWe stayed for two nights and had an excellent experience. The hotel is in a great location, with a beautiful lake view from the balcony that made our mornings truly special. The breakfast was fully homemade, adding a delightful touch to our stay.
The highlight of our visit was the host—he was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He provided us with a detailed itinerary for a day in Shkoder, making it easy to explore the city. Anytime we had trouble with maps, he was there to guide us.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Theth is breathtaking!
Theth is breathtaking! At times I compared it to Switzerland. Other times to Nepal. The mountains are dramatic and the village, although bursting and bustling with tourists and hotels and restaurants - still maintains an authentic feel. The road to Theth is quite an experience with many switchbacks up and down and with traffic coming at you- you need a stomach of iron, but it’s so worth it to arrive on this gem of a valley. The road in the village is not paved so drive slowly. We had a fantastic dinner at villa Gjecaj restaurant- beautiful setting, peaceful and amazing food. Lots of hiking options. It was the first time to be in Velipoje.
It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. This was our favorite spot in Albania. It's secluded and personal and the staff was exceptional. Mark had us laughing the whole time and Sando kept us entertained with Raki and stories of Albania. We sat on the floating dock at night and saw every star in the sky. They took us to the beach for the day and we skipped rocks and swam in the freezing water under the hot sun. There was plenty to do at the beach, including zip lining, a DJ, bars, and more. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'll never forget the friends we made there!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Reviews we read of Shkoder said it's a university town with lots of biking. Not sure what those reviewers were writing about, but there weren't many bike friendly areas and the town was not as vibrant as we expected. We did spend some time in the Shiroka area on the lake a 10 minute or so drive from Shkoder and that was very nice - good restaurants and lake activities. Theth is a little town surrounded by beautiful mountains. It has a few good restaurants, several good hiking options, things of historic and cultural interest and good swimming spots. The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available. I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils. Shkoder is a lovely city with great views, food and nice accommodation facilities. It's a safe place for families and youths with lots of activities around.
