IrelandEverything, place is flawless, the decor, the wellness and spa areas, the lake house & swimming/sun deck. The food in the restaurant & breakfast selection top class. Parking very easy, check-in also very easy. Advice: unless you have early checkin, it will be 3pm, so go straight to wellness as you really only have a 3-4 hr window before dinner, especially if you only staying for 1 night. It is not open till 11pm next morning on checkout.

Absolutely fantastic very special hotel situated right on the lake shore with breathtaking view, authentic design - you feel like you step into museum, amazing atmosphere, I would call it “boutique” hotel. Fortunately we got the same room where once the younger brother of the Austrian emperor Franz Joseph I stayed!
Great staff, kind, friendly and helpful! Delicious breakfast offering even sparkling wine! We enjoyed sauna and steam bath following lake swim as well. Highly recommended!

Everything about the stay was great. Top notch service, the staff was awesome and very friendly. The room was better than I imagined, and we had a great view to the mountains. The sauna area was clean and had many different saunas to choose from. The food was amazing, I didn’t think we would get the quality we received for having half board, but it definitely surprised us. Overall great stay and would definitely come back again.

Everything you need for few days of relaxing in such fantastic alpine village can be found in this hotel! Ski in, ski out, just few steps or few steps to a bus station both direction - to cityXPress or Trassexpres.Two swimming pools, large sauna world. Children were excited about the huge playground area. Large room, we stayed in the new building in Junior Suite. Just perfect.

The entire trip was fantastic. The service and attention to detail - 1st class.
Travelling with a young family, they went out of their way to make us welcome, and no request was too much.
The water park, youth room, and pool were definitely a highlight as well as easy access to the gondoliers for skiing.

We didn't eat out much as accomodation had a very well equipped kitchen.
Public transport was punctual and free with a Sommer Card provided by our hosts. All lift passes that we used were free also. The only cost was a booking fee for getting up to the Schladming Galcier. (PREPARE TO QUE FOR THIS ONE).
Be aware that shops are closed for religious holidays etc.

Solden isn't my favourite- but we were early in the season so didn't get the true vibes. It sells itself as a big ski area, but it felt like smaller parts connected rather than a big area. It has long run which I think give it the km but the valley runs are not open in early season ( as expected)
The views however are gorgeous and. Nice variety of ski runs especially when it's the first week back and you want to be easy on the legs. The village was one long street. That was then easy to navigate. I don't understand why there are so many table top dancing bars and so glaringly obvious! That is not what we go to Austria for and it really drops my impression of the town. You don't want to be walking your children to dinner and seeing that right on the main street.

A very beautiful destination, we were alone on the mountain ridges most of the time. We would definitely like to return. For swimming, we recommend the lake in Zell am See rather than the local swimming pool, which is quite small and completely crowded.

Beautiful lake with a nice 11 km path around it, we had very good early December weather, this might not be the experience of everybody.
The city of Zell am See is very small, only two proper grocery stores, two tiny Christmas markets. With the addition of busses (free of charge with the mandatory tourist pass) one can get around the city and neighboring area easily provided you take the trouble of scheduling.
There were lots of restaurants with fairly priced offerings, although we did not dine in the city.
We did not take this opportunity to go skiing in the mountains, in hindsight this was a mistake.

Ischgl is a great resort offering fantastic extensive and varied skiing. Pistes well groomed. The lifts are fast, modern and well maintained. Queues Ok even at half term.
Ischgl town is pretty and has large selection of Apres ski bars and restaurants and shops which are very friendly. There is a rule that you cannot wear ski boots between 8pm and 6am which seems to successfully stop hordes of drunken revellers wandering about so the Apres is civilised yet still great fun.
There are noticeably more young men than other groups and quite a lot of snowboarders compared to some other resorts like Lech but this was not really a problem for our family.

But so far mounting, Hotel Lewis in kaprun is corporate very nice.

We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites...
We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. I wanted my husband to see what a charming Tyrolean town it is. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was wonderful!

It's a great place to stay for a winter break.
It's a great place to stay for a winter break. The walking nearby is excellent and the restaurants and facilities in the village offer something for everyone.
The Christmas market had a wonderful atmosphere and it was only 35 minutes by train to Innsbruck for a day out in the city. We won't hesitate to return.

Has gorgeous high mountains with amazing trails for great hikes. The town is filled with nice shops and is really Pleasant to walk along. Has a Variety of activities including extreme sport and is a great area for mountain biking!
