El centre històric de St. Gallen es d'òrigen mitjeval.
El centre històric de St. Gallen es d'òrigen mitjeval. En ell es troba la Biblioteca del Monestir que es patrimoni de la Unesco.
La catedral catòlica està situada al centre rodejada de una gran zona verda i molt a prop tenim la catedral protestant Sant Lorenz que es mereix també una visita.
Passejar pels carrers es força agradable, una barreja de tranquilitat, comerç i restaurants.
Es pot agafar un petit funicular al centre històric que arriba fins els tres llacs per damunt de la ciutat ón es pot gaudir d'una excelent vista...si ens deixa la boira
