The front desk staff was warm, exceptional thoughtful and helpful. Parking was close and easy. Rooms were modern, clean, filled with light, and comfortable. The best pillow of our travels in Europe. Breakfast options were abundant and delicious. Try a hot chocolate or elderflower juice and enjoy your stay!

CanadaI loved this hotel so much! Highly recommend 👍 great location (so close to the train station) and everything was so clean and pretty. Marina at the reception was so kind and provided an excellent service. I was informed that the in-person check-in is only until 10 pm but my trains got delayed and cancelled, so I wasn’t sure if I could get there by 10 pm. Marina assured me that she will wait for me and she did! I only stayed there for one night but I actually wanted to stay longer 😁 if I ever go back to Singen, I’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful lakeside location. Very good breakfast. Our room with a lake view and additional sitting room was stunning. Well, well kept and friendly staff. Wonderful saunas, steam room. Clean and peaceful ! A thank you to the kind gentleman at the restaurant that allowed us to take a slice of delicious peach cheesecake up to our room (apparently a no no😬) so we could enjoy it in our living room in view of the lake and without the huge crowds !

Lindau was a nice 2 day visit - unfortunately, virtually none of the museums and sites accept the Bodensee Plus Card - a rather expensive 3 or 7 day pass that was sold by the Lindau Tourist Information Center - that was a surprise. Very easy to drive to Brengenz Austria for their offerings.

Since the city was completely bombed during WW2, it’s not filled with historical landmarks and old buildings. There are definitely nicer cities around Bodensee. If you’re choosing Bodensee as your final destination, FN shouldn’t be the town to go.

We liked the beauty of Bregenz which is situated alongside Lake Constance. There are nice restaurants & cafes, shops, walks, boats etc and we enjoyed the cable car ride to see the small farm, great for children and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The area is excellent for cyclists & runners, and for people with mobility issues. There are ferries which go to the small German island of Lindau, which is worth a visit and it takes 20-30 minutes. Quite a few of the cafes shops and restaurants are closed on a Sunday.

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap).
Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation.
If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

We visited friends here and enjoyed the views over the lake and wandering around the waterfront. The city is known for the obvious focus of boating, bathing, and relaxing, but we also found a nice, downtown with historical charm. Try the Muenster St, Nikolaus for relics and an up-close trip back in time, and then explore the old town around it.

Meersburg is one of our favorite towns. It has everything: Medival castle, a fantastic boardwalk on the lake, apple orchards, winyards with a winery, excellent restaurants & bars, boating marina, ferry to other parts of the lake, the list goes on. A very charming and picturesque town.

Lovely town, & near to lots of other nice towns which can easily be reached free by bus or train using the Bodensee card obtained from the hotel. Bike rental is easy to do, swimming in the lake is possible, boat trips on the lake are very nice too

Konstanz is a brilliant place to stay for a few nights on an interrailing trip. You can visit Lichtenstein within 1.5 hours on train, and same with Rheinfalls, Schaffhausen. Great for daytrips, and then returning in the evening, Konstanz comes alive with beautiful lights and the pier. It's very easy to get around at the main train station, and the old town is beautiful, and it's fun to be able to walk across the border to Switzerland.
Would recommend for travellers/interrailing.
