Rene and Nieké are incredible great hosts and great people. They are linguistically equipped for every visit and their accommodation is suitable for families, couples and lovers alike. The room lacks nothing and the breakfast will satisfy everyone before skiing or hiking. If you want to experience Austria with all its beauty, stay with René and Nieké.

I want to express my regret at the closure of the restaurant, which was exceptionally open during our stay. All the meals served were fantastic and we enjoyed them very much. we loved having the garden and the access to the lake for us and the dog (shared with the owner, and tenants of the other aibnb, but plenty of space for all to have your own space and intimacy!). The house is small but really enough for 2. No kitchen but does have plates, cutlery and a fridge. We ordered pizza and made salad.

I had great stay at Hotel Trattnig. The staff were great and very friendly. The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location and can imagine it would be great for families as there seemed to be lots of activities for families. Free bike rental was a bonus too!

A very nice hotel with such a lovely ambiance. A variety of amenities for everyone, e.g. a common big fireplace, a sauna, a pool, tennis grounds, a gorgeous garden… The food (we had a breakfast and a dinner) was excellent! Can highly recommend it!

The staff was great and the room was very comfortable.
The staff was great and the room was very comfortable. Fast wi-fi and slippers and robe in the room. Parking was free and just outside the hotel. There is no elevator if you are on upper floors. Short walk to the abbey which is now an arts center and to the local beach although you could swim in the lake right from the hotel property.

I might be biased, I was born in Spittal an der Drau, but...
I might be biased, I was born in Spittal an der Drau, but the town has certainly some charm on it's own. The renaissance Schloß Porcia, roman excavation in nearby Teurnia, the surrounding landscapes with lakes, mountains offering plenty opportunities for hiking, swimming and enjoyment of the local food specialties.

We visited in December, over New Years.
We visited in December, over New Years. Seeboden is well located to reach lots of hiking trials after only a few mins car drive (or bus). The ski area Goldeck is also only 15-20mins away by car. Shops, hotels and restaurants are all in walking distance. The view from the lake shore is beautiful and calming. We ate most of the time in our hotel, Moserhof, because we liked their food a lot. Once we ventured out to Postwirt and again we liked it so much that we went back another time. Great food for decent money. And the service really surprised us in both places. Super friendly people who anticipate your next wish before you have voiced it, but all without being intrusive.

Millstatt is a beautiful wilderness with plenty of sporting...
Millstatt is a beautiful wilderness with plenty of sporting and other opportunities. We really enjoyed the bicycle ride around the lake, the hike to the Garnet Gate, the sup in the deep and clear Millstatt lake.

Wonderful place in the Alps next to the Millstättersee with pass access to most of the lake facilities for free.
Very child friendly place with a great garden/playground.
Excellent breakfast and big spacious room immaculately clean.
And most importantly: very kind and very relaxed hosts!

Only there for 24 hours but would love to return.
Only there for 24 hours but would love to return. A beautiful town. Nice walks near the lake on trails. We rented bikes from Bikeshop Seeboden. The owner was very helpful with information about the trails. We biked on the quiet side of the lake which was perfect.
We had a great meal at Restaurant Postwirt which is a nice family owned business.

Millstatt is a very nice area.
Millstatt is a very nice area. I think especially in summer it is nice. In winter (which is when we were there) it is not so crowded. The location is well situated between several ski area's all within 20-40 min driving distance

Great ski area Goldeck.
Great ski area Goldeck. It is small comparing to well known ski regions in Austria. But it offers perfectly prepared slopes and amazing views. We were there on the beginning of March and there were almost no people. We enjoyed empty slopes with no queues anywhere. Also the price for family ski pass was very good. You have also free entry to local swimming pool if you buy a full day ski ticket.

Small but so busy little town (village) with lots tourist. Close to shopping centre (5km) and all shops are walking distans. Lovely lake with clear wather and montain around give you great view, relaxing time,and lots of fun. Hotel Koller’s is a lovely place with magic atmosphere ( i had pleasure to work there).
