IsraelExcellent hotel. is in an excellent location, I was 3 nights. Amazing staff, comfortable rooms and a very comfortable bed too. Room service is really good, towels are changed and cleaned well (only in one of the showers did I notice that they didn't clean the crumbs from the floor, but it wasn't terrible, maybe they didn't notice). Parking is free, and if there is no parking space adjacent to the hotel, there are more parking spaces 100 meters away. highly recommend.

The hotel room was equipped with everything we needed, self catered all 4 nights and had oven, toaster, fridge etc, all appliances as well as salt and pepper! and washing up tablets/liquid!! ski storage was also convenient

We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

Friendly welcome from the owner, who spoke to us in english which was welcome as our german is limited. She made an effort to speak to the children and give us key information. We actually got a room upgrade, which was lovely. The owner was there every day and we had a set table daily which was nice. Pool was a good size and temperature. There was a daily menu of the main meal. The room was big and had a balcony. The bathroom was ok, perfectly adequate. Location for the hotel is at the end of the village, but a perfect location for us. It takes 4-5 mins to walk into the village. Near the cable car lift, spar and cafes. The village is friendly. The hotel had a swimming pool and games room which the children liked. There was also a trampoline and rabbits outside. Staff friendly and helped when we asked. Food was a good experience, they took account of vegetarian request. Lots of storage in the rooms which was nice.

Very relaxing stay in a friendly classic Austrian village hotel: good service, half board good value and tasty food. Complimentary bus and gondola journeys offset the tourist taxes and added value to our stay. Fantastic views and ambience. Recommended!

A family friendly 5 star hotel in every way. Friendly staff, great food, great location, large clean rooms. Very safe feel, relaxing. Great hotel for skiing or sight seeing with a great history of the village and culture.

There was lot's of choice with the continental breakfast.
The only thing I would have liked were coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms.
The bed's and rooms themselves were very comfortable indeed.

Great resort for families and for beginners.
Great resort for families and for beginners. Ski school is brilliant for anyone who wants to start learnig to ski.
I recommend the lockers in Margreiter to save you from carrying all that ski gear up and down the ountain.

Close to the large area of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser, but beautiful slopes also in the place itself - especially the "black" slope is absolutely breathtaking. And much better prepared than those in SkiWelt👍

For such a small town in the alps, there was quite a lot...
For such a small town in the alps, there was quite a lot going on in Niederau. There are several bars and restaurants, as well as a couple of supermarkets and to ski pistes, which are unfortunately not connected, but there is a bus between the two.
