CanadaDue to a leak in our room from the high winds and rain we were upgraded to a room with a full kitchen and living space. Also it had a large balcony with a view of the water.
It was great to have all the extra room and cooking space.
The place also offered laundry service for free.
Very close to restaurants and bars.
Staff helped arrange a golf cart rental to get around. Also assisted with taxi to and from the condo.

The staff was really welcoming, gave us a whole tour of the property. The recommended amazing tours (the fishing and snorkeling one and we get to see manatees!!)
We enjoyed that 3 different pools were accessible.
The restaurant is delicious and they served the best piña coloda ever (with fresh piñas)

My friend lost her phone on the last day after checkout and the villa staff went above and beyond to help locate the phone! The owner personally inquired about the situation as well. They called, sent updates and was able to send the phone back to us in record time! Love this peaceful place and tasty food & drinks. I will be back again! Much love to my belizean family there after my week stay lol

Jose and Auno. (Sorry name not spelt correctly) gave us a warm welcome and gave suggestions on where to eat apart from Pineapple Restsurant. Loved my oceanview room. Comfy balcony chairs. The trees that hugged the balcony provided privacy. Mattress & pillows awesome. More than enough towels.
Loved the entrance at the hotel. Staff was very caring.

Amazing location, close to center but much more quiet and calm, accommodations were very nice with air conditioning. The bikes were a plus we didn’t expect and very helpful to get faster to the center.

Caye Caulker is an amazing place to experience the 'Go Slow'...
Caye Caulker is an amazing place to experience the 'Go Slow' way of life! We enjoyed 4 nights there with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teen boys), went spearfishing, swam with nurse sharks and sting rays, fed tarpon, waded with sting rays, hung out at The Split, and enjoyed amazing Belizean food all over the island. You can sleep in and go to bed early, and still not miss a thing. :)

San Pedro is not for everyone, that is certain.
San Pedro is not for everyone, that is certain. It is chaotic and cramped. There are very few places to actually swim, and the beach is narrow and crowded. There are many places to eat, but the food seems to be the same and is relatively expensive.

We did not stay in Belize City, but out in Burrell Boom.
We did not stay in Belize City, but out in Burrell Boom. It is a bit out of the way, but very peaceful. Our destination was Punta Gorda, so we used Kenny’s shuttle service to get there. What a great experience, seeing the area on the way, with a bathroom stop half way. Very comfortable trip.

The number one thing visitors should realize is that Crooked Tree is for practical purposes an island in a lake in the middle of nowhere. The "downtown" area of the Village consists of a small handful of buildings, one of which is a convenience/grocery store. No ATM that I could see (or Google would reveal). A very few small restaurants are scattered around the area. For birders, it's absolutely one of the best locations in the world & well worth traveling to (45 exotic species by water one morning, 38 by land the next). But there aren't any beaches, shops, or other sorts of traditional tourist attractions there. I stayed at a lovely house with a full kitchen, so I made chicken with rice & beans for dinner, which I bought at the village store. Bird's Eye View Lodge looks like a very nice eco-lodge to stay in; it's right on the Lagoon, has a pool, rents canoes & kayaks, & offers birding trips by land & boat. I did my birding trips with them, though I stayed at the private home.

It is a rural village which has created a wonderful sanctuary for the howler monkeys. The whole town participates either by donating stretches of their land to make pathways for the monkeys or helping run the visitor center.

I took a tour for US$50, snorkeling and swimming with the sharks!!!
My new resort has a pool and a private beach. I plan to take a private taxi and tour the whole island... very windy in the afternoons.

I loved San Pedro, the restaurants are all walkable from downtown and everyone was delicious. The people are so welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Tropic Air staff made the travel easy and uneventful from Belize City. The San Pedro Express was also a great way to travel.

Belize is a country with much to offer, from excellent cuisine and superb beachfront restaurants to wonderful excursions like Old Belize, the Governor's House, and its various museums. It's also the starting point, just an hour away, for Mayan temples, Caribbean beaches, and the Cayes islands, where you can take excursions to explore the marine life of the Great Barrier Reef.

Crooked Tree is very small with rather rutted dirt roads but that is part of its charm. We loved eating at Carries Cafe which is only open Wed. -Sun and consists of a kitchen located in a garage with one table. The food was great.
It is lovely to walk around and see all of the birds and farm life. We really enjoyed it here.
