CanadaBeautiful hotel with amazing staff. The decor is spot on. Breakfast had a wide selection of fresh dishes for everyone's taste. Rooms are updated and are larger than expected with a nice balcony. Mini bar was included, nice touch.
The staff was very helpful in providing local amenity and ski information. They went out of their way to help us with accommodation resolution due to being stuck in Zermat as a result from a heavy snow storm which caused the trains to be cancelled. Thank you Hotel Daniella!

EVERYTHING. From the time they picked us up at the Zermatt station until they dropped us back everything was exceptional. Very hospitable staff, amazing hotel, great breakfast, the best rooms during our stay across Switzerland. Powerful air conditioned rooms unlike rest of Switzerland (we were lucky as Switzerland was going through a massive heatwave). The bar in the ground floor, the swimming pool, the bed and the bathroom/toilet were very well planned. Will surely be returning

Extremely welcoming, first you get a welcome drink on the beautiful sun terrace looking directly at the Matterhorn. Then you get a tour of the hotel. All the staff were so friendly. We booked the sky light room, so no outside view or balcony but it was still outstanding. There's so much outside space to sit and view the mountains so we didn't feel it was necessary. The spa..... no words other than wow! We booked this place to relax after a week trekking and it was perfect.

We've skiied all over the US and Canada.
We've skiied all over the US and Canada. This was our first European ski experience. The town of Zermatt is as good or better than any ski town (breck, Banff, Park City, etc).
The skiing was great - early season so the Italian side was better.
Highly recommend getting the 5 day lift tix with access to both Swiss and Italian slopes. We were there over Christmas - super high season - and never had to wait more than a few minutes to cue for a lift/ gondola/ train.
Many shopping and dining options in Zermatt. The car-free nature of the town made for a lovely experience!

Amazing location and view, very quiet and clean (no cars allowed in the village). Lots of hiking trails and activities to do. Very nice restaurants.
Sometimes it was hard to find the hiking trails and understand their difficulty and lengths. Maybe more signs would make it easier

It's a very cool place.
It's a very cool place. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. We took the cable car from the top of the mountain after having walked from the Hotel Schwarenbach. Make sure to bring your Visa card as everything is expensive. That's not a complaint, it's just the reality of a tourist, mountain town.
We went to the thermal baths and that was fun. We stayed at the Hotel Waldhaus. Highly recommended as well.

Ok for skiing and mountain biking but not recommended for hiking (numerous paths closed, very steep, signage could be better, crossing paths with downhill mountain bikers too often). There are better options for hiking in Switzerland

We only had 1 day in Zermatt for hiking but we were recommended to look in Tasch for a place to stay for the night as it was a more economical choice than Zermatt. We found an excellent hotel, right across from the train station that exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect place to stay after a full day of hiking in Zermatt. We weren't able to explore Tasch too much, so would love to go back!

Brig was truly a hidden gem!
Brig was truly a hidden gem! We stayed at Hotel Victoria, directly across from the train station - which we loved. The main part of the city was really close and in walking distance. Great shops and resturants and gelato shops. They have a little train that goes around the city and gives you another perspective. It was perfect! There was a historic castle with tour. Unfortunately, the tour was in German, but we enjoyed it.

Verbier is a beautiful chic resort. You can find everything you need there. The local people are super friendly and kind. It is a little on the expensive side however. As only two of us travelled it was easy enough to get a restaurant for dinner, however during busy periods it is worth booking in advance.

Sion is the capital of the Canton of Valais in southwestern Switzerland. It's a city rich in history and serves as a gateway to the Alps, with easy access to popular ski resorts like Crans-Montana and Verbier, as well as a wide range of hiking trails. It is also well known for its wine. If you travel around this area, you will see a lot of vineyards. The city is charming, surrounded by mountains with old building still being occupied and nice cafés and restaurants everywhere. I love visiting the French-speaking parts of Switzerland for the delicious French food and pastries.

Many different restaurants and bars to choose from and an immense amount of history to look into. There is also the most incredible museum/gallery, the Gionadda Foundation, which was brilliant and worth the trip on its own.

Very beautiful area with shops & restaurants within walking...
Very beautiful area with shops & restaurants within walking distance of the hotel we stayed in (elite). Bus trip up into the mountain villages was excellent & very reasonable priced.
Lots of nice restaurants in Visp. Local wines worth a try.
