RomaniaI don't even know how to start this review to better describe the wonderful experience I had with Royal Apollonia. We arrived at the location around 17:00 where we were welcomed with champagne, and Mrs. Paulina, the hotel manager, offered us a free upgrade to a room with a sea view. It was a real surprise for which we thank Mrs. Paulina! The view is really amazing, the room is big and clean, we found a bottle of champagne in the room, a fruit platter, a package of local products and some cakes, all complimentary. All the hotel staff are smiling and always willing to help you, the breakfast served on the terrace is very varied and tasty. It was an extraordinary experience and we hope to come back to Royal Apollonia!

Great place to stay. It is in an ideal location about 0.5km from the sea, but with amazing views of the Cyprus country side and Troodos mountains. The gardens are beautifully kept and very pleasant on the eye. Everybody I have spoken to loves the place, although I would imagine it’s not for teenagers as the Hylatio is a little remote and not a lot goes on in the Pissouri Beach area. That said, the Hylatio does put on evening events about 3 to 4 nights a week and the bar stays open until 1am. There are some great restaurants nearby. Food at the Hylatio is very good and the staff are really pleasant and helpful.

Upon arrival the reception staff were extremely helpful to get us checked it. I requested a very early check in and the staff managed to make this work as we had an event to attend. The customer relations team and couldn't do enough the were on hand to help at any moment. We requested milk for our toddler late at night on several occasion and was with us within minutes at the right temperature too. They went above and beyond for us.

There were all kinds of sport facilities: basketball, football, ping pong etc, and the most popular hiking trails in Troodos are close by car.
Since there was a problem with the electricity when we arrived, we had the opportunity to try both the small house and apartment type accommodations. You can have more privacy with a house, as it has an own kitchen, but the rooms are much smaller and the wifi signal was very weak, practically none. The apartment was much more spacious, but if you want to cook, you need to use a shared kitchen. There was even netflix in the apartment that was missing in the house and unlike in the house, the wifi worked properly.
You need to have whatsapp on your mobile, as you get check in info by whatsapp. They have a phone number and they were responsive, could communicate in English.

It was very good to discover a small medieval town away from mass tourists who are only there to sunbathe. We were interested in learning the history of Cyprus, Lofou offered other aspects of Cyprus other than the sea, swim and sun. We were sorry to miss Joseph the manager when we left., he was most friendly and helpful in every way. Thank you Joseph!

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries...
Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it.
We have visited several times and enjoy it each time.

If you want traditional Cypriot food try The Hideaway or The Two Friends, and for something a little different The Bunch of Grapes - at busy times, best to book a table so your not disappointed!! The village also has a large Ampitheatre that hosts bands from the uk etc.

Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries.
