BelgiumThe best hotel that you can in the Black Forest.It is situated near the Mummelsee lake and the view over the forest is astonishing.Big parking with reserved places for the guests in case that the main parking is full ( you need to ask for the key at the reception to open the chain for guests parking ).Very clean rooms with a lot of spaces, big tv, big bathtub with everything that you neet from the slippers to coats, bureau and everything.
There is nothing that I coud add to make the room better.It is just perfect.Also nice restaurant with great food at affordable prices and all the staff from the reception to the restaurant are very nice and polite.
The breakfast has everything to offer, it is very generous and the food very good.The I had in Germany so far.

The hotel rooms are huge, nicely furnished, and the contents of the refrigerator are available to guests at no charge. Breakfast was exceptionally good. We will return. If there is a room available facing the Caracalla Baths and the greenery on that side, we recommend staying in one of those rooms. It is an easy, scenic, 5 minute walk to the charming old town.

Although there was no staff on site when we arrived, our key card was waiting for us on desk, and room was very nice. During the booking process staff was also able to accomodate a medical issue in advance that prevented the climbing of stairs by providing us with a first floor room.

Overall, a great experience with excellent amenities. The spa facilities were complete and very relaxing. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. The hotel has plenty of attractions for children, including an indoor playground and a swimming pool, which kept the little ones entertained. A special highlight was the restaurant Lucia, which delivered an exceptional dining experience. The gym looked modern and well-equipped, though unfortunately, I couldn’t make use of it as I wasn’t prepared for a workout.

I liked the old town with the water channels and the...
I liked the old town with the water channels and the character buildings. We walked up the hill and climbed the viewing tower and had an excellent view over the city and surrounding countryside.
The Dokumentationszentrum Nationalsozialismus (Documentation Centre for National Socialism) in Freiburg was very impressive.
We stayed there to be close to Frankfurt airport and able to fly directly to Scotland.

A fantastic place full of cultural gems (museums, a theatre and a concert hall), great shopping opportunities, amazingly beautiful and accessible nature, and the relaxing sound of a brook.
The Leonardo hotel is an excellent place to stay in walking distance to everything and a superb restaurant.
Anna’s patisserie is highly reccommended as well as the Frieder Burda museum.

Initially a little difficult to locate because the hotel is not located on the ground floor. Our family room was very spacious for the two of us. Located next to several malls.
Special shout out to Slyvie at reception. Personable and engaging with great customer care. She is such a great and important representative of the hotel!

We used Offenburg as a hub for exploring the Black Forest. We visited the Open Air Museum, Hohenzollern Castle, an old town with a clock shop, and took a hike in the woods. We couldn't do everything we wanted to, but Offenburg made a really great "base of operations."

Pforzheim is a little GEM in Germany... gateway to the Black Forest, but not to remotte or too crowded.. lots going on if you wanted it and if you wanted peace and quiet like I did then you could have that also.

Titisee-Neustadt is a charming town with a lot to offer. The lake is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the town center is full of character, with lovely little shops, cozy restaurants, and plenty of ice cream stands. It’s a great place for a peaceful getaway and to enjoy the Black Forest atmosphere.
However, one unpleasant experience during our visit was dinner at Musse am See – Bio Asia Dining. We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children, and we ordered at 8:20 PM. The service was extremely slow and disorganized:
The first dish (for one child) arrived at 8:50 PM.
Two more dishes (for adults) came at 9:05 PM.
The remaining four meals (for one adult and three children) didn’t arrive until 9:20 PM.
A simple Sprite took over 15 minutes, and only arrived after my friend went to the counter to ask about it. The staff seemed unaware until she pointed it out.
To make matters worse, the waiter spilled the Sprite onto one of the children’s meals, which completely ruined it—and the child didn’t eat after that.
I love Asian food, but this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve had at an Asian restaurant. It was a real letdown in an otherwise lovely town.

VS-Villingen is a Medieval walled city within easy driving (or train) distance of many of the attractions in the Black Forest area of Germany. It is one hour and 15 minutes from either Zurich or Stuttgart International airports.
It has an incredible Fastnacht celebration in February. Like Mardi Gras in the USA, it is celebrated during the last days before the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday). The parades are amazing with ancient wooden face masks and elaborate costumes representing the various regions.

Ringsheim is a lovely village and near to transport such as the train station. Sadly the covid lockdown as caused quite a lot of the restaurants and bars to close, There is an Italian pizzaria and a bakers shop that are well worth a visit.

A small town known for its thermal springs (Vita Classica baths and thermal clinics). Located not far from Freiburg and having good public transport connections, it allows visitng the area which is reach in sights and attractions, including beautiful nature for hiking. Perfect for a stay over a weekend or for a longer stay for thermal treatment.
