ALL the staff were so kind, helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming and so very efficient, especially as we spoke no German. All drinks and meals were of great quality and the cocktail maker on Saturday evening was a joy to watch. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were like little fairy’s who came when you weren’t looking and made sure our room was clean and comfortable for our 3 day stay. We also had two Christmas trees sparkling on our balcony. It’s a perfect place to stay in the snow in December and we hope to return one day.

United KingdomThe location is excellent - on a central street, within walking distance if everything, including the fantastic Christmas markets! Although in a busy area, the soundproofing is great, so we found it very quiet once inside. Staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived early, so we’re able to store our luggage while we explored some of the city. After returning, we found our luggage had been taken to our apartment for us. The decoration and facilities are superb. Very cosy inside. It’s also a short walk to the main train staition (we visited Bamberg one afternoon) and the nearest underground station is closer station (visited Fürth Christmas markets and old town using the U-Bahn). All in all a great stay!

United StatesOur experience was excellent. The hotel was chosen accidentally because of weather conditions (hubby couldn't drive during the hard rain). I was not sure about the conditions + travelling with my 20 month baby, son and grandma felt anxious.The receptionist was waiting for our check in till 23pm. The whole space and room were well kept and clean. It was the 1st hotel during our travel where the waiters served breakfast(contained a lot of salads, fruits, and regular breakfast stuff). Yelena(in the restaurant )stole our hearts, she is caring and kind hearted lady who may help you with any requests. I noticed that the location is great and the place is very calm and safe, with free private parking. All my family were greatly satisfied. We appreciate the hotel 's hospitality!

It was a perfect stay! Hotel has its own connection with Franken Therme and it's very convenient to go directly to spa from the hotel room wearing your bathrobe.
Special thanks to the receptionist (unfortunately I didn't note his name). A perfect man doing his job with all his soul and attention to the clients. Definitely, the rest of the personal is also magnificent. Breakfast was ideal with a great variety of everything!

Great Stay at Hotel Knorz!
We had a fantastic time at Hotel Knorpf. Our room was very clean and spacious – perfect for our two adults and four kids. The hotel's location is excellent, being very close to Playmobil FunPark in Zirndorf.
The wonderful garden with its kids' playground was a huge highlight, offering a perfect, shady retreat on hot summer days. The breakfast was also very good.

The charm of the Christmas market, the restaurants, the historical buildings were breathtaking. Definitely worth an overnight stop on your journey. Driving and parking are a challenge but the staff was very helpful in advising how to pay for the street spot we found near the hotel. But we were very lucky. Highly recommend the Romantic suite with oversized tub. Fabulous modern bath with ancient and delightful sleeping area.

Getting around Erlangen is quite easy considering affordable buses are all over the place. Next time I would avoid moving around the city by taxi instead of buses

The best little town in Germany. I first came here as a 16 year old travelling with my parents, and I loved it. I brought my wife back here on our Honeymoon, and we loved it. We have just returned 25 years later with our children, and we still love it!

Old town on top of ancient volcano, lovely town hall, archaeological dig site in town square, great half timbered buildings, great town small enough to wander.
Interesting town but disappointing there is very little information in English. We are finding this in many of the smaller towns that are less visited by non German tourists.

Ansbach is a magnificent city. As the governmental seat of Middle Franconia, and the city that we grew up in, there is very much to offer and see and explore. Definitively, if a person wishes to see Germany and Bavaria, one will be well satisfied to visit Ansbach.

The Italian restaurant across the street is a no-go!
The Italian restaurant across the street is a no-go! You should not go there because the food is not quite what you expect. The quality is not great. For instance, I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the pepperoni was sliced in half and then divided over the pizza, which looked very cheap. Better restaurants are: Tandoori and the little Greek, just 300 meters north. From where the restaurants are you can easily take the bus and U-bahn to Nurnberg.

Old Nuremburg excellent, easy to walk around- like you were going back in time. Lovely setting for Christmas Markets. Great Restaurants - very good food at reasonable prices. Train Museum , Dungeon Tour , Documentation Centre and Zepplin Grounds , Nuremberg Trials Museum ,Yellow Hop On Hop Off all excellent. Lovely to dine in a restaurant in the Documentation Centre Managed by people with Special Needs - food lovely so well done.

Walking through this town is good for the soul!
Walking through this town is good for the soul! Every building is a delight to behold and the town is spotlessly clean. I arrived on a Saturday morning and there were few people around. By 2pm the main street was packed. My tip would therefore be to visit Rothenburg early in the morning (after 10am so the shops will be open) or on a weekday. Rothenburg does not fail to impress and you won’t regret your visit.
