PolandWe used the accommodation as a stop/break on the Camino Primitivo route. This place allowed you to get into the mood of Roman times and indulge in exploring the city. It was a great rest because of the comfort, cleanliness, quietness, location (the very center!), and even extra hygiene accessories (including a feminine kit). We felt we were in a good place to take a break and recuperate for the rest of the pilgrimage.
Even the blackout we experienced during our stay did not disturb the perception of this beautiful place. The staff made sure we felt safe even though they themselves didn't quite know what was going on.

Historic and Holy
A region of lush landscapes, countless coves and beautiful beaches, Galicia is the westernmost part of Spain. Long admired, it boasts incredible reminders of its first settlers – the Romans.
Lugo is the world’s only city entirely surrounded by Roman walls, and quite a sight they are. On a rocky promontory in A Coruña, the Tower of Hercules is a working Roman lighthouse. Considered the world’s oldest, it overlooks one of the region’s ‘rias altas’ – coastal inlets flanked by high cliffs.
Sheltered in another inlet is the port of Ferrol, and Viveiro around the coast has a lovely beach nestled below green hills. Another sandy beach protected by zig-zag cliffs is Ribadeo, on the Asturias border.
The most famous Galicia attraction is the capital Santiago de Compostela whose huge cathedral, firmly on the pilgrim route, is Christianity’s 3rd most important. Unsurprisingly, the city has the most 5-star Galicia hotels on Booking.com, though it’s smaller than Vigo which has a replica of the ship that reported America’s discovery.
The castle in nearby Baiona overlooks a beach, and Pontevedra slopes down to the sea. The undulating coastline continues to O Grove, known for beautiful beaches and hot springs. Thermal waters are also in Ourense, near the stunning Sil River Canyon in the hilly interior, home to most small hotels in Galicia.

We found this amazing paradise across the water from o grove. What can I say it was simply sensational excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it for a stay. The food is excellent both for breakfast and an evening meal

The staff in the restaurant went to great lengths to make my husband’s birthday meal very special. During our stay I booked a massage which was excellent, the therapist was kind and professional & I was left feeling very relaxed which was the desired outcome. We had an excellent stay thanks to the kind & courteous staff of the Parador Santo Estevo.

This isn't just a place — it's paradise. The view from the window is like a fairy tale. The nearby beach is amazing. The host let us check in early — thank you so much! We were even given a better house than the one we booked. The kitchen has everything you need. There's a bus stop nearby. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It wasn't my first stay, I already knew it and from the first time I was loyal to Zenit.
The location is central, ideal for pedestrian access to the marina area, bars and restaurants, despite having chosen another car park, there is a car park right in front of the hotel.

Vigo is a big city and there is much to see and do. We had time to wander through the Christmas market, get a meal and then head back to the hotel. Shopping is great with a massive choice of high-value shops.

Santiago de Compostela is the terminus for all the Caminos...
Santiago de Compostela is the terminus for all the Caminos in Spain and is a good place to decompress after all the walking. The food is great, particularly the empanadas from El Trebol. The Pilgrim's Mass at the cathedral is worth attending (even if you don't speak Spanish). And if you are a Geocacher there are some fun Geocaches in unexpected places!

A Coruna was perfect for a 4 night holiday. We enjoyed exploring the town and coast by foot from our appartment on 2 days. On our third day we took the train to Santiago de Compostela for a very worthwhile day-trip. The cathedral there is stunning. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance from our appartment.

Arrived in the dark so didnt see much, however next day gave us a pleasant surprise that the city centre was smart, good quality shopping, there was a film festival on and everyone looked wealthy. On our return visit 10 days later we enjoyed the main square bars, people watching and evening tapas sat outside the many bars and restaurants, great atmosphere

The area had good access to Cangas and Vigo which included a great boat trip and opportunity to see the Christmas lights and decorations in the city.
Our local area of Porto de Aldan had beautiful beaches linked by walkways where possible. Other beaches were accessible by road although had limited parking. Staff at Cafes and tapas restaurants were friendly and food was excellent. Pinalta and Bar Peralta were particularly good as was the panaderia Iglesias for breakfast and coffees with generous cakes and superb fresh bread. Parking at the port is easy and walkable and wildlife congregates there.

It is a great destination to just be out of the noise of the big cities, it is a small town actually with friendly local people and you can enjoy local food and mostly if you love sea food it would be a good choice.

Beautiful views and clean beaches.
Beautiful views and clean beaches. Different coves to discover. Fabulous cake shops. Lovely restaurants . We stayed for 7 nights but felt that we could have moved on after 5. Very few people speak English here and there are some steep banks to negociate.

We loved Ferrol - it is a small quiet city with lovely plazas and gardens and beautiful architecture. The grid design makes it easy to navigate and there were plenty of good places to eat the delicious local food. We walked everywhere and didn’t need transport.

The coastal view of REDONDELA is refreshing and offers an interesting backdrop of the place especially the towns and countryside we passed by walking from Vigo on our way to Santiago de Compostela. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer.
