FranceWe chose the Atlantic Sunset resort to celebrate an anniversary. We just wanted to relax, enjoy the sun and warmth, and eat good food. Mission accomplished! We chose the Privilege option in order to have access to a specialty restaurant and the rooftop infinity pool that overlooks the sea - and the choice was worth the extra cost. The check-in process as well as responding to our various questions were all handled in a relaxed, efficient, personable manner. Our room was a junior suite with lots of space and a generous balcony from which we enjoyed a sea and land view. While we favored the rooftop pool, there were a few other very nice pools as well. The so-called Privilege restaurant offered a lovely fine-dining menu, and the staff were terrific. There are mostly other hotels and apartment buildings in the immediate neighborhood, but there is some pleasant retail too, and a very nicely landscaped waterfront promenade. We were very happy with our stay because our goal was to relax in a nice resort.

Fun and Sun All Year Round
The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife has sun, sand and sangria all year round. Its landscape is dominated by volcanic Mount Teide, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose peak is covered by snow. There are fabulous views over Tenerife and the surrounding islands from the cable car that takes you up.
However, most visitors flock to the island for its beaches. The most exclusive area is Costa Adeje, home to most 5-star hotels in Tenerife. It also houses Aqualand waterpark with waterslides, pools and a dolphinarium, while next door Playa de las Americas boasts Siam Park – Europe’s largest waterpark.
This resort is the island’s party capital and features a large number of Tenerife hotels with swimming pools, and a wealth of bars and restaurants. Adjoining Los Cristianos also has a long, sandy beach.
The southern Tenerife beaches are actually artificial, made from white sand imported from the Sahara Desert, because the natural ones are black sand. Tenerife resorts with just such a beach include Puerto de la Cruz and Los Gigantes, which is dramatically sheltered by sheer cliffs.

After reading so many bad reviews about Los Olivos we were worried about this place. But it EXEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS and it was a pleasent surprise!
Everything was perfect! First of all the check in was at 03.00 pm but they gave us the room earlier without extra charges, that was realy nice after such a long trip we were exhausted, after that we enjoyed free welcoming drinks at Margaritas rooftop.
The room was large and bright, all the facilities we needed were already in the room. The location was perfect- close to the beach and restaurants.
Beds were very comfortable, the room was super clean and there was a large balcony, qute place for a good night rest. We were stayng only 1 nigt but we made a reservation for another 3 nights! See you soon Los Olivos :)

I love everything, it was amazing, very nice kind staff , cleaning service is also amazing, everything is very clean,I had only breakfast but food ,and choice of food it's really, really good, perfect location, just few minutes walking from main bus station and 15 minutes walking to the city center of Puerto de la Cruz. Very nice resort! There are a lot of things to do, with plenty of bars and restaurants offering local food. City transport on the island is perfectly arranged, and transfers to and from the airport can be done by bus. Traveling by car is not recommended during the high season, especially if you are going to Teide Mountain. The road is very narrow, and it is very difficult for two cars to pass. The best mode of transport is a motorbike (make sure to take your driving license with you) and hire one locally. The amazing entertainment and choice of bars and food available at reasonable cost . Like the fact you have 2 other resorts to go to for a change we visited both Las Americas and Los Cristianos easily walked or short taxi or bus ride away .Lovely resort with something for everyone.Carlos below Club Atlantis deserves a mention for a very nice meal , decent menu and choices . Masala Zone is so worth a visit for Indian food we’ve tried 4 there and this was the best. Siam Park is worth a visit , book in advance online at an online retailer and get your lunch there free, it’s a free burger plus free bus to take you there .

Would like folder with instructions in English for washing machine and other facilities in the area. Bed comfortable but narrow double. Location very central and fabulous restaurants on the same street. Host responded rapidly to my queries. Very secure

Bright, good atmosphere and lively and well kept.
Bright, good atmosphere and lively and well kept. I liked all the benches along the beach front with grassed areas. It is pretty and welcoming and enjoyable to be there and lots of singers play there, very good guitarists. There are lots of shops and restaurants. The beaches are clean and waters clear, nice for swimming.

A nice small town away from bustling resorts with a few cafés, bars and restaurants, supermarkets and a free museum to learn about the local history. Fantastic view from here up in the hills across the south beaches. There are hiking trails from here too. Easy and cheap to catch a bus to other parts of the island from here too.

If you like not too busy puerto de santiago is perfect.
If you like not too busy puerto de santiago is perfect. Your only a short walk to Los gigantes and a bus ride to Costa adeje. The restaurants in peurto de santiago are lovely. My son loved the Italian and the staff are wonderful. Everyone is so friendly.

The city consists of three parts.
The city consists of three parts. The historic part with beautiful and charming streets. The villa part with beautiful gardens, trees, houses, and the part where people live tightly and where the most is happening. Lots of street culture, lots of cultural attractions. Lots of opportunities for good food.

Peaceful location.
Peaceful location. Lovely family run restaurants with really good value for food and drinks. I can recommend familiar restaurant but happy to say never got bad value. Very easy to get taxi but very walkable. It was windy.

We stayed here for 1 week and we definitely won’t be back.
We stayed here for 1 week and we definitely won’t be back. There were too many shady characters hanging around daytime and worse at nighttime. We did not feel comfortable walking around at night as petty crime and theft is really bad and we saw this ourselves. There is no police presence anywhere so it’s a free for all petty criminals. I will not be back to the island of Tenerife.
