First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Sitting by the pool was also lovely, and the staff were fantastic. I had some unexpected business that came up, and they were able to print some documents for me without a problem. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and shower which was appreciated. The room was cleaned dutifully daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The 10 minute walk to transit in the morning was beautiful and felt safe, and the nearby shops were great for purchasing our own breakfast foods (hotel breakfast looked costly). We wanted to spend most of our time in Bilbao, and we did not feel like we missed out by staying in Barakaldo thanks to the metro proximity.

Perfect location overlooking a lovely beach. The deluxe room was worth the extra cost. It was large and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities which we had not found in any of the other hotels we stayed in for our tour of northern Spain. The balcony and beach view were perfect. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food to choose from. We also had lunch on the terrace and dinner in the cafe/restaurant. Good choice of menu at reasonable prices and even written in English. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and although expensive it was similar in other hotels.

Great hotel, room was immaculate with a dream view to the ocean. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was impeccable, with plenty of towels and great sized for a couple. Parking right by the hotel, which was very convenient.
Felipe at the bar was friendly and professional. He provided us with a great service even considering that it was very late at night.

Exceptional views. Quiet spot in natural surroundings away from trafic and holidaying crouds, but it’s still very close to the shore and the village below. It’s some 2’700m distance & somewhat steep 80m ascent. Very welcoming staff!

A good selection for breakfast. Receptionist (Ainhoa?) was extremely helpful providing us with advice on places to visit. The hotel was only a few minutes walk to the restaurants, shops etc.

As a solo traveller I felt safe day/night never thought @ anytime I'd got into a bad situation or places.
People where so nice.I had a mini break away from Bilbao & when I returned it was like 'going home' when I returned.
I'd recommend the Bilboats
(2hr river trip €20)

Great location, short trip to Ferry, Very good wifi in room, Max Centre very close for fast food, secure parking for my motorcycle from 11pm to 8am, I still recommend to use locks on your motorcycle like every other hotel. Friendly staff and easy checkin, Bar, breakfast cost 10 euro and well worth it. Room was quiet and large enough for solo or couple.

A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.

The beaches and harbour were lovely.
The beaches and harbour were lovely. It is well worth taking the gondola across the water to the local cafes and old town area. The promenade is long and makes wonderful walking by the sea. There are all kinds of games and water sports available.
Getxo is a Spanish resort. Bars in town offer snacks (pintxo) with beer/wine etc. Restaurants are on the promenade reached by lift. Very little English is spoken except in the restaurants on the promenade.

Bermeo's main attraction is the harbour area where all the bars & restaurants are located and few steps walk up and you can see everything Bermeo has to offer. The part of Bermeo away from the harbour is mainly residential with tall towers, which we can say is the new extended Bermeo

The accommodation was very very good.
The accommodation was very very good. Clean and Iban the host was super helpful the whole time he came to meet us personally and showed the whole apartment which was the best I've seen in a long time. The asked me if I needed help with anything in the town.
We had a little problem and he personally offered all the assistance we could ask from out of hospital own goodness. I will be booking this apartment yearly going forward a really good time and made better by a great accommodation and Host

It’s really an awful place.
It’s really an awful place. I don’t see any good reason to stay there besides work commitments and/or the need to find a cheaper option than staying in Bilbao.
In the evening there’s no place around that offers food at normal times, they’re either closed or open only for drinking. I ended up at a Domino’s Pizza after a couple of wasted hours looking for a proper restaurant, on a Sunday evening.

Small town within reach easily of the ferry about 11 minutes to ferry from hotel. Friendly helpful people rooms very clean and warm. This part of Spain is very Green lots of trees reminds me of Wales and also buildings are French oriented some like in ski resorts very lovely countryside.

Visited this quaint beach/surfer town in off-season and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very few foreign tourists. A couple nice tapas bars were open and filled with locals. Charming streets and views of the sea. Frequent, reliable train service available to other towns along the coast and all the way to Bilbao.
