The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the manageress, who speaks good English. There is also a large, quiet garden, with plenty of furniture, and lovely views.

Great place - the room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was great (shower), the linen and towels so soft!!! The staff very friendly, the breakfast was also wonderful with a lot of options and delicious local meats and cheeses.
The hotel restaurant was also very good with local food and dishes.

This city has a bit of a dark foreboding nature about it...
This city has a bit of a dark foreboding nature about it somehow but is full of interesting places and streets and alleys.
The old quarter is appealing with hilly streets and mountain backdrops everywhere you look.
It’s worth finding the numerous lovely fountains. Especially Fontaine Delille.
The Notre Dame church in the centre of the old town is interesting and photogenic and is in a square with good restaurant choices.
Lots of Space Invaders on walls, and some graffiti too.
We were here November 18-20 and it snowed so we took a drive up to the Puy de Dome and into a winter wonderland. The volcanos with snow on top.
There are wide city views from Parc de Montjuzet just above the city.

Vichy is a cute town - good restaurants and shopping, as well as spa-visits. The Ailler - river has nice paths along it and one can walk for miles. There are amazing patisseries with loads of delicious treats. Parking is easy in the city - either in the streets or in one of the many underground parkings - prices are very fair. I felt very safe walking the narrow streets - even in the late evenings. I will visit again.

The medieval centre and Jardin Wilson were lovely and MUPOP very. Interesting.but otherwise there was little to do. Once we hired a car we were able to travel to interesting hiking places. You really need a car unless you are just in Montlucon for a mini break.

Some really good restaurants but you need to book in advance as they all seemed to be busy in the evenings. Parking is quite good in the evenings but takes a bit of time finding a space during the day.

We had been there before but only for a single night.
We love the town, the hotel, the atmosphere.
We ate breakfast in the hotel which was incredible and ate out for other meals (not available in out hotel).
Bit of a nuisance to search for other places to eat - the month was September and quite a few places were closed.
The Cafe de Paris was a reliable stop gap.

Just across the road from Moulins station, the hotel is simple, spotlessly clean, with lovely staff and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Was only sorry that the restaurant was closed on the day I was there.

you need a car to get to this out of town hotel which is easily found off the N145. we stayed to visit nearby Montlecon, which easy to find and not to far away, but again best to have a car.
ACE hotel itself is ideal for what we wanted in a short stay B&B.
Staff very good priced about right regards value for money, and a continental breakfast included.
no complaints from us, i would say its the french equivilent of Travel lodge in the uk if you are looking for a comparison.

the town itself has interesting attractions, but also is central to some great day hikes. There are better towns around for foodies, however, and it is key to stay central since places further out are less attractive.

Sorry to say that it took us 30 to 40 mins to check in as the computer was not working I had to press the button for help twice don't want this at check in it was a hot day ant the air conditioning did not work part was broken off any time we go away we always look for b&b hotel not sure anymore

Clermont and Montferrand were a really nice surprise for a traveller interested in architecture/street art. Great food in affordable restaurants and a quick, efficient tramway line - strangely not connected to the station.
