We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and were able to relax in the jacuzzi at the end of the day. It is near nice little towns with grocery stores and lovely bakeries! There are also lots of great hiking trails in the surrounding area.

The location is absolutely perfect – peaceful, surrounded by mountains, and ideal for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to help us solve an issue immediately — truly kind and professional.
Our room had a breathtaking view, a very comfortable bed, and plenty of space to move around and feel at home.
And the pool — just perfect! The kids loved it, and it was also great fun for the adults. It really made our stay unforgettable.
Highly recommended for families and couples who want a quiet getaway with top-notch service and facilities!

The room we stayed in has a very stunning view of the Gerardmer lake. The room is also spacious and the bed is very comfy. On the 1st floor there is the wellness center. We went there twice to enjoy hamam, sauna, and jacuzzi. The quailty of the food in the restaurant is also exceeding our expectation.

The hotel looks nice, but they don't tell you that you don't stay in the hotel, but in a run-down building away from the hotel. The breakfast, when you are allowed into the hotel, is nice.

Gerardmer is a tourist town with two seasons - summer and skiing. We knew we were there between seasons, so the town was quiet. But that suited and our main aim was to get a flavour of the Vosges.
Plenty of good walks albeit a bit wet when we were there.

Peak season in La Bresse is probably in winter, but summer stays are equally attractive especially for people who like nature and hiking in the beautiful mountains.
There are several possibilities on how to access Route de Cretes which provide access to all hiking locations.
There is a well equipped supermarket and all other standard tourist infrastructure.

its a very basic hotel. good eniugh for an overnight stay on a long drive. there is a large supermarket in walking distance and a microwave and 2 ovens in the unmanned lobby. i was lucky to have my phone in my hand to take a picture of the door code on the check-in terminal because the little printer had run out of paper.

Plenty of restaurants in and around the town. Only 7 mins drive to Gerardmer. The road from there to Colmar offers spectacular scenery.

Epinal is a lovely small French town. We were driving through and stopped for a weekend. There are lovely places to visit nearby as well, like the Thermal baths of Vittel/Contrexeville with their beautiful park, Nancy with the stunning Place Stanislas, Mirecourt the town of the Violin......

La Bresse is a picturesque small French town with all the facilities you would expect (supermarket, bakeries, butchers, swimming pool etc.). The ski area is a c. 10 minute drive from La Bresse. There is a ski bus to and from the town but we did not use it and did not see others using it, but were assured that it did exist! The ski area is perfect for beginners and early intermediates looking to build confidence. More experienced skiers would probably be frustrated by the limited area (only one black run). Its low altitude means lots of very attractive tree lined pistes. Also floodlit evening skiing is available (additional lift pass required).

Complete escape and change of scenery. A must visit for forest-bathing experience, breathtaking views after each hike, the calmness of the lake in front of you is a formula for a tranquil weekend stay. And don't forget their natural bonbons and riesling wine!
