I also had dinner, breakfast and drinks there, and in addition to a cosy atmosphere and very nice staff, the food was top notch! Lastly… if you are able, try and book the rooms facing the bay, and be treated to incredible sunrises! I can’t wait to stay there again. Bonus point, it is easily accessible with public transport.

On my "Arran Coastal Way" (without rain!!!) this was my best accommodation! Very nice, cosy and very clean room, very well kept house! Dinner and dessert could be ordered online in advance and it was terrific! It was prepared with a lot of love, a beautiful view and really friendly service. The next morning, Cath gave me a piece of homemade cake (very tasty) and a bottle of water for my hike, because I didn't have any left. I have rarely experienced so much honest friendliness as here! I felt extremely comfortable! Thank you dear Cath, all the best and best regards from Switzerland!

The hut was cosy and clean, comfortable bed and had everything I needed. Kitchen just a few steps outside... The staff is nice and friendly as well, I will 100% be back, no doubt.
Very reasonable priced as well, suitable for solo travellers who don't have another person to split the costs with! I really appreciated that they had single huts.

The spacious room with chairs, great bed, good lighting, comfortably warm, good shower. Breakfast was delicious, made with lots of attention to detail by Allan. Our host was friendly, welcoming, loved to have a talk. What a great place to stay

This stay was absolutely amazing. Beautiful place, great accommodation. All close to the ferry, bus station, grocery store and other available shops. If there is a next trip, we will definitely use these services again.

Such an interesting place - fabulous views, beautiful walks, the beach, harbour and excellent selection of shops and places to eat. Good bus service around the island if no car but keep an eye on seasonal schedules. If you like walking this is a great place to visit. The 3 mile walk from Brodick to Lamlash is stunning and it was a perfect day for it in November, cool, sun shining and no rain - a little boggy in places but a good walk for most ages. Had a fabulous meal at The Lamlash Bay Hotel overlooking The Holy Isle and indulged in a little locally made shopping, bus back to Brodick - a perfect day.

Lamlash is an excellent centre for touring round Arran with its fantastic and varied scenery. Easy access to mountains, beaches and all the facilities one needs to make a great holiday. And only a relatively short drive from the ferry port of Brodick.

Whiting Bay was the perfect location for us for touring . We loved the peace and quiet and it was nice to just walk from our accommodation to Glenashdale Falls . The sea was so clear and safe for swimming .

Very small place but there is a hotel and presumably a bar too. Wee roll shop which does great breakfast rolls and sandwiches. Fabulous bakers too. We were on Arran to swim so didn’t use much of the facilities in BWF other than the beach.

We were doing the Arran coastal way and the first 3 nights...
We were doing the Arran coastal way and the first 3 nights we stayed here. Buses were easy to get (if times a little limited on a Sunday) so we made it back in time each afternoon. Deer roam the village (don't feed them - if they get too tame they need to be culled) and there are seals in the bay. The walks in the area are good.

Beautiful and peaceful.
Beautiful and peaceful. We traveled by car which made it easiest to go where we wanted but I hear the bus service is good. Arran has a whole variety of activities- hiking, history, distilleries, incredible food, access to abundant nature and wildlife, and a great pub scene. I bought most of my take home gifts here.

Kilmory is tiny but close to other towns - as is everything on Arron - highly recommend staying in or near Kilmory when visiting Arron. The Lagg Hotel has fabulous food and is minutes from our farm stay.

Charming village on a beautiful bay, with views of the tallest peak on the island. Many interesting little shops, a terrific bakery, and a pub.
But too few places are open to eat in the evenings. Easy to shop for groceries for self-catering.
