United StatesCottage Lodge was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and the selections of breakfast meals were all enjoyable. The hotel was perfect for us as we could walk to the bike rental near the train station to pick up our bikes. As we did two days of biking, it worked out well. Having a designated car parking spot was nice as we always had a spot to park. From the hotel you can walk to the restaurants and pubs, no need to drive.

United StatesThe greeting was so kind and warm right as I arrived to the White Rabbit. The young man at the front desk was so welcoming, and offered to check me into my room even though I arrived a few hours early. I enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant downstairs. They are so considerate of food allergies. The sauvigon blanc and toastie was delish. The nearby park off Southampton and Beaulieu just off the main town drag was one of the most beautiful views and horses are everywhere. I also saw cows in the distance. It's a very picturesque place. If you want to go to any neighboring towns, I highly recommend getting a car bc even though Brockenhurst and other towns are a few short miles away, it's not walkable, and Ubers don't frequent that area much. Overall, an excellent stay!!!

The charming location, with “wild” horses walking by, the hands on owner, the staff (big shout out to hands on Manager Lucy!), the charming dining room (open to the public 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch & dinner, with daily specials), the authentic English menu (including the Full English breakfast, which is included!), the friendly & attentive service, the cleanliness of the room & the dining room, the modern bathroom (walk-in shower) - everything made us want to extend our stay & return, so we highly recommend it to others! You will not be disappointed!

This is our second trip to Lyndhurst & surrounding area. We have dogs & most places are dog friendly which is lovely. Only annoyance was the price of paid parking in many carparks, especially as it's hard to judge how much time you need to explore.

Brckenhurst is a lovely village with plenty of cosy pubs with delicious food, in the heart of the new forest there s plenty of lovely walks to see the new forest ponies and donkeys Had a lovely meal in the New Forest Inn near Lyndhurst and the Snakecatcher and Huntsman Inn in Brockenhurst all offer Lovely food

Very central in the forest. Near to ornamental drive and other forest walks. Lyndhurst not far and Lymington only 30 minutes away.
In bad weather, Lymington has amazing art gallery - St Barre Gallery in New Street. Also the Russell Cotes Museum, Bournemouth with it's collection of art etc in a very Victorian setting.

bashley sway area was a lovely location. highcliff castle a few miles away is worthb a visit. barton on sea a glorious area on the seafront. ideal for dog walking. lymington was close to sway and we had two meals in wetherspoon. great value . its close to the church in the high street. plenty of parking behind marks and spencer for great shopping without horrendous parking fees. disabled parking is free.

We were disappointed that the pier ferry wasn't working but the pier and the train were very interesting - lots of plaques on the pier with interesting information and lots of inscriptions on the planks on the pier.
The town was very nice - a surprising number of different shops in such a small area.
The town centre and pier within very easy walking distance from the Boathouse hotel. Good meals served there with a good selection at reasonable prices.

Beaulieu is a lovely area and if you like horses and donkeys...
Beaulieu is a lovely area and if you like horses and donkeys you will love it. The village i itself is very clean and pretty with lots of lovely places for coffee etc. All the people I met wee extremely friendly and helpful. There is also the Motor museum and other places to see but we were mostly cycling around and it’s great for that

The Lodge was beautifully appointed, spacious & decorated very tastefully. Extra large deck overlooking a wildlife lake with Duck & Swan food provided. Location was perfect to explore the New Forest and the facilities around the holiday village were awesome.
Great communication from the lodge hosts & reasonably priced for such a lovely place to stay.
Will definitely re-book when we return to England.

It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us.
Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete.
We certainly come back here!
Don’t forget to visit Beaulieu, Lyndhurst and the beautiful Bucklers Hard. There is a nice pub and good food!

Very pretty location and easy access to New Forest but the Lodge we stayed in had no living area and a tiny Kitchen diner not really suitable for more than two although meant for four people. The Lodge was very clean with nice decor but just lacked the comfort as no where to sit other than bedrooms

Lovely private little apartment, only three of them so seems more personal, especially at breakfast, staff very friendly, room has all you need including little kitchenette, patio doors out to own little fenced garden with furniture, couple minutes and out on the open forest, great for walking the dog, plenty of ponies around, absolutely love it.Ate there each evening, lovely food, sat outside in undercover area in beer garden as it was quiet as it was just right for our new rescue dog.
