The service is outstanding: we got there at midnight and they managed to have dinner served for us at the rooftop restaurant with a lovely view to the fortress’ wall (btw, food was delicious!). The hotel is located a few steps away from the marina, where you find a variety of restaurants to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Five min walk to the pedestrian area with shops and many more restaurants and 7 min away from Kavala’s old town. Due to time constraints we missed the spa, but we are looking forward to a massage in our next stay.

We loved the location (our room was just over the sea) and the food was delicious with many choices for every meal. The room was fine and very clean (the towels were changed every day and the bed linens every 2 days), the bed was very comfortable and there was a/c everywhere. The bungalows are surrounded by beautiful gardens, the sea is very clean, calling you to jump in any time of the day. Last but not least, the personnel is always smiling and available for our needs. We are definitely coming back!!

Such an underrated city. Friendly. Tremendous "corniche" waterfront full of people, restaurants and cafes. Easy access to high quality beaches. Because it is off the beaten track for Western tourists, prices are also reasonable.

Kavala is nice small city with epic views and interesting atmosphere.
Can be quite busy during season, but manageable and good in end of the season.
Weather is also good, its hot but not too much.
You can go to island Thasos from there.
Old town is steep, so be prepared to little bit difficult walks

Xanthe is charming: the old town was quaint and picturesque, and the people of Xanthe extremely friendly and helpful. The town is full of enormous plane trees providing beaty and shade, and is circled by dramatic mountains.
I was there to settle my son into college, and it feels very folksy and safe, and small-town friendly. I look forward to spending more time exploring in subsequent visits.

The museums are temporarily closed due to financial reasons and asking nobody seems to know when they will open. It is a municipality coordination issue and quite important. Check before making your reservations.

It is a Village near to the city of Kavala. It is very well organised and it has local markets, a park, place for live shows, beach, coffee shops and taverns. The prices there are much cheaper on the entire region of Kavala.

A place to be avoided, small and very crowded. You have everything in one small place, some people may like this, I don't. As a side note, food in all restaurants not as good as years ago in Thassos, I was tempted to say "fast-food style", but fast-food is good compared.

The room has all the basic amenities.
The room has all the basic amenities. It is comfortable and clean. The host and her family were very friendly and helpful. It is close to a mini-market and a few places to dine. Parking is easy to find and the area is quiet and safe. The beach is within walking distance but more easily accessible by car. Good value for money. We would use the Accomodation again.🥰 The only disappointment was that the Wi-Fi couldn’t connect in our room.

Limenas is the best location to stay in Thassos especially if you have kids. Everything is near walking distance restaurants and supermarkets. Beautiful beaches. Amazing fresh fish. And if you want to have meat its worth visiting Theologou village where they have lovely restaurants for meat.

Underrated Greek venue that deserves more. A town where all ages could live a very happy life. I felt safe and in peace for myself and my child, my beloved.
Beach and sea area - kept intact as much as possible in nowadays common nonsense worldwide. You'd love pleasant views, walks around, some culture and venues, unbothered beach experience, shop local, kids playground, cozy cocktails, good food, and more - you've got it.
