We spent a week here in a private pool suite with the sea view and we're definitely considering coming back some day.
Food
Different than you'd usually expect in the traditional Greece cuisine, but the international options are very welcome and it shows they are aiming for more than average gastronomic standards. I see others complain about the food being lukewarm (it's true) but to me that just means you can eat as soon as it arrives which I honestly didn't mind 🤷 the mini-burgers and club sandwiches are 10/10!
Rooms
Spacious and cozy. Don't expect business-class luxury, to me it seems like everything here was designed with tranquility and relaxation in mind, from the materials to the color palette used throughout the whole place.
Staff
Professional but also approachable. They won't butt in unless asked to. They seem to be trained to leave you alone as much as possible, but they prove to be very nice if you start a conversation or ask questions. They are all very helpful and will try to help with any sort of requests.
Noise
We heard nothing from our neighbors' rooms, so that was good. Airplanes go by, but we got used to it pretty fast. You'll hear golf buggies passing by a group of friends laughing every now and then, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall it's very quiet.
Ambiance
Music at the breakfast is 10 / 10 (electronic lo-fi), at the day bar they play your usual resort-type, mellow covers. Goes very well with the greenery and earthy tones everywhere.
Overall
Absolutely gorgeous! This is a one of a kind place on top of a hill, surrounded by olive trees gardens. No matter where you look there's something beautiful to be admired everywhere, be it the very old olive trees, a beautiful lake-like pool or the amazing view towards the sea.
This is now my first pick for a completely relaxing getaway

Surrounded by clear blue waters, Zakynthos (or Zante) is the 3rd largest island in the Ionian Sea, named after the son of Dardanus. This green island features mountain villages, fertile plains and gorgeous beaches.
Zakynthos was destroyed after the Great Earthquake of 1953 and rebuilt according to an anti-seismic code. Some of the buildings which were not damaged are St. Dionysios Cathedral, the National Bank and the church of St. Nicholas.

Gloria Maris probably or most definitely has the best location on the island.
I can guarantee you will experience the best most relaxing vacation in this hotel.
Embedded into the landscape it serves you with an incredible view to the south (sunrise) and you can see the turtle island right up front. 🏝️ 🐢
We were in one of the private suites with a private (shared area) swimming pool for suite guests, which is an incredible infinity pool.
The staff is so lovely and welcoming especially Jay (Most viby Bartender), Fanny (hope i spelled the name right haha) and Alex. You will find them down at the bar during the day next to the water.
Speaking of water. The hotel has an exclusive access to the sea with wide and shallow water. Great for swimming and snorkeling!
The food and drinks are super delicious.

Everything and everyone was outstanding! The property is beautiful and has the most amazing view of the sea from above on the cliff looking down. Well maintained and super clean. Restaurant stays open till midnight which was a welcomed surprise when we travelled all day and overnight from US and arrived around 10pm to the property hungry and tired. Food was excellent and the outdoor patio and view even at night was exceptional! Eleni and Adamanettie (wrong spelling…I’m sorry) were top notch on customer service. They arranged transfer services from airport to hotel upon arrival and also from hotel to the port on our departure. They also helped map out our plans for the short two days we were there to see the best beaches and viewpoints … even an excellent taverna for an unbelievable sunset experience on top of the mountain facing the sea.

A very nice hotel in excellent location with a wonderful pool area and direct access to the beach. Our room (203) was nice, with a lovely view to the see. Fortunately there are no Jet2.com teenagers so it is a really perfecft stay for relax and having a pleasant holiday. Most of the staff was friendlly.

We enjoyed our week stay here although dead centre Laganas...
We enjoyed our week stay here although dead centre Laganas beach is not the prettiest if you are look for long stretches of sand! However there are so many nearby choices and the island is easy to travel around on. Even a "hike" lol to the nearby Turtle Island is manageable but you have to get there early as it is a tiny beach (obviously as it is within the sanctuary and there is a EU6 to enter) worth a visit though. Laganas has plenty of friendly cafes restaurants etc. It definitely is a Tourist Town but not as chaotically busy and crowded as Zante and further afield (Sept). We were devastated by the TRASH everywhere though. That is shocking and something the municipality really needs to address. If you can get past that, Laganas is a quaint tourist town with plenty to offer and a VERY HAPPENING night life 😉🎶

The town of Zante is lively with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The beaches and water are amazing. Most offer sun beds with amenities to spend the day. Boat trips to caves and swimming spots are a must!

If you like to be in the center of the action (restaurants, bars, night life), Tsilivi is a good spot. If you are searching for something more relaxed, i advise to search for other locations in the island.
Tsilivi is probably the best basis to visit all the rest of the island, very centered, but we were looking for a more relaxed and less"touristic" area.

An abundance of Restaurants of many denominations, plus plenty of themed bars for drinks, all within walking distance, just perfect!!! The whole place is relaxed, happy, and just such a good place to be, a perfect location to unwind and enjoy after a few months hard slog at home. Or, a great location to hit the bars and live the high life, your choice, a fantastic location for singles, couples, groups and families alike, Kalamaki has just about everything, for everyone, and everyone is just so friendly; what a place to live, never mind just holiday!!!

Argasi is a small town with lots to offer. There is a good mix of bars & nightclubs, but not too lively.
Great restaurants the length of the town & all within walking distance, except the one on the hill, but they will collect & return you from your hotel for free. Great beach bars just off the main road, so look out for signs to Remezzo (our favourite) etc on the waterfront. Plenty of places to shop around for car/quad hire & trips around the island, on land & sea. A fun train runs into Zante town every day from opposite Legends bar (€8 return)
Just the most wonderful people & easy for us to return yearly.

Alikanas is lovely with the mountain backdrop and the clear waters when there’s no wind. What I miss was a sidewalk. It’s difficult to go for a walk as there’s no sidewalk and on the beach there’s no continuous access.

We loved the beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, the amazing Turtle Rescue Centre, Kostas' Brother Tavern and also Familia Tavern, The Bay Hotel, the landscape, with olive groves in abundance.

We were returning visitors and much has changed in the six years between visits, there are many more new buildings and hotels and there seems to be a load of car hire places that didn’t exist before.
Currently it is still very peaceful and quiet which might not suit everyone (particularly families?) but as someone in their mid fifties I loved the fact there was 3 shops, and 3 restaurants within I 5 minute walk from our base I didn’t need anything else but thrill seekers might be a little bored.

The property was very quiet and very clean, the water and the beach are very clean, we stayed late in the evening on the beach listening to music and watching the stars, the view was beautiful, in the morning the sunrise is a wonderfull, everything was perfect, the owners were very polite and good people

Calm and very nice area.
Calm and very nice area. Close to the sea, perfect for relaxation, away from the crowds.
The only thing i do not like, but this is not related to this specific area, are the roads. The roads can be very bad, and if you navigate using google maps or waze, you'll definitely end up on narrow roads.
