The location was superb. Situated near the "unofficial" entry called either P3 or the "Auxiliary Flora Entrance". It's unofficial because the website doesn't list P3 but in any case Etno Garden Apartments is about a 5 min walk to this entry. No tickets are sold here. Just a hut that is manned starting at 7am to check your tickets. You will need to buy them online (recommended) or go to Entrance 1 or 2 and buy them there. Having them in advance though is key then you can just walk from Etno to get into the park. No need to deal with driving/parking. Last photo of map, I've circled P3 entry near Etno in red.
Once through the checkpoint you walk down to the boat landing where you can catch one of the ferries to go to other parts of the park. I'd recommend uploading the Plitvice Mobile app (green background with a bear outlined in white) as it lays out different walking programs as well as info about the park and a good map.
It's also easy to walk from Etno to the trails that are outside of the park but run along the top ridge. They offer great views during an early morning or evening walk.
The other very surprising thing we found was their restaurant. We were not anticipating that we'd be able to find a decent meal due to the remoteness of the lake park. However Etno actually offered a great restaurant/menu selection with super friendly servers/service. We were there 3 days/two nights and ate every meal at the restaurant because it was not just convenient but delicious.
The check in was great and easy. We arrived a bit early for check in but that was not a problem. Our apartments were ready (we were two couples, renting 2 apartments next door to each other) and the young guy that checked us in could not have been nicer. Also offering us good suggestions on how to tour the park. The staff continued to be attentive during our whole visit.

This is the best place to stay if you are visiting Plitvice National Park . I had read some dodgy reviews so wasn't expecting much , but we were pleasantly surprised. It was clearly built in communist times and is a little bit dated, but the rooms are large, clean, have very good quality bedding, large bathrooms , new TV, big windows , free safe parking , substantial buffet breakfast included and your park ticket gets validated so you get 2 days to visit Plitvice for the price of one. We arrived in the afternoon at 3pm and went straight to the park and saw the lower lakes until 7pm. Then the next morning we had breakfast at 7am, checked out and were at the Upper Lakes by 7.45am .We left our luggage in our car but they have storage available. There is a path next to the hotel which leads down the hill about 200m to Entrance number 2 .A big surprise was the restaurant for dinner. It had very reasonable prices, excellent service, silver service, nice decor and delicious food. One of our best meals in Croatia.There is no kettle in the room but there is an urn where you can get hot water for a cup of tea - just bring your teabags.

1. Location:
- If you go by FlixBus, it really stops at the Mukinje station (the last stop), which is 500m away from the hotel, so basically you can just walk there. But be really careful cuz there‘s no sidewalks along the main road.
- The hotel is closer to entrance 2, but by walking it took 35 mins and there is no Uber to call. However, the staff could drive you there for 10€.
2. The staff at the reception is very nice and reachable on the phone. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time and she let us use the room right away. She‘s also nice to my parents who don’t really speak fluent English.
3. The room is the best throughout our trip. It‘s all wooden. The design, the lighting and everything are amazing. Bathroom is perfect, clean and comfortable. Stable hot water and provides 2-in-1.

Camping Korana was the perfect place to stay during our visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park. The location is ideal – just the right distance from the park, making it easy to get there early while still enjoying some peace and quiet away from the crowds.
The campsite itself was spotless. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay super comfortable. One of the highlights was the breakfast – generous, fresh, and a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the lakes.

The staff truly exceeded our expectations.
Why? They were incredibly attentive – answering all our questions, giving helpful tips about visiting Plitvice Lakes, and even suggesting ways to keep our child entertained within the hotel grounds. After we checked out, they even called us about some items we had forgotten – a thoughtful gesture we really appreciated.
The restaurant was also excellent. We tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner – everything was delicious.

The upstairs apartment was very spacious, beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The area was pretty, peaceful countryside. We were there two nights and I wished we could have stayed longer. Our host, Blanka, was gracious and helpful. She brought us wood to start a fire in the stove, make great restaurant recommendations, and gave us a coupon for two free desserts. She was warm and friendly and made us feel at home.

You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. Also don’t miss the fast food in rakovica on road by the Apartment green park with delicious burgers.

Plivice Lakes National Park is a must see. Natural beauty takes your breath away. It was the higlight of our tour, because we have never seen a reserve like this. Jezerce is only 5-10 minutes drive from on of the entrances to the park.
Jezerce itself is beautiful and reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.

We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. I do not recommend entrance 1 as the queue for ferry was very very long. Generally avoid busy periods if you want to enjoy nature.

This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. Most of the town is on the main road to Plitvice, so there is a lot of traffic.

We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.

Wonderful place!
Wonderful place! Close to Plitvica Jezera and to Bosna, you can reach a long list of beautiful towns and natural sites in a short time driving, both in Hrvatska and Bosna.
The village is small and quiet with gourgeous natural areas all around (not only Plitvice or Una river Narodni Park...).
An excellent choice, highly recommended!

A unique park with a series of interconnecting lakes and numerous waterfalls. It is an incredibly beautiful place. There are walkways between the lakes, sometimes of wood (over water) and sometimes of dirt and stone. The wood walkways are not wide and if crowded it can be difficult to pass. But the walkways allow the visitor to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the waterfalls and lakes. Our hike, which included stopping for photos, lasted 2 hours, and we selected a short trail. We could easily have spent a full day at the Park. There were four of us and we agreed that we had never seen a place like Plitvice.
