Room - absolutely beautiful, spacious, had a small fridge and kettle with tea. Walk in closet and the mattress was just perfectly stiff.
Breakfast - loving the selection, juicer so you can make your own juice, so much fruit and also gluten free options, such as bread or cereal. Peanut butter, selection of jams. And they make you coffee in a proper coffee machine - not some hotel breakfast watered down coffee.
Pool - so beautiful, loving the view and design. Also nice resting area with flavoured water and almonds.
The staff - so so nice, welcoming and helpful. They made us feel at home.
Parking right in front of the hotel - amazing.
Nothing I would change and I will definitely be back.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The spa was phenomenal, featuring a beautifully designed indoor-outdoor pool, expansive and well-appointed facilities, and serene relaxation areas. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional—I couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

If you like a quieter and more peaceful place to stay in I would choose Badia. Corvara was quite touristy. Also unfortunately Corvara does not have a well stocked supermarket, there is a DeSpar but it’s quite sad. There are two bakeries which are nice ones in Corvara. Food options are mostly only Italian food

The location of the town was perfect for our hiking holiday.
The location of the town was perfect for our hiking holiday. Unfortunately we came at the end of the season and SC and neighbouring villages were very quiet.
The free bus service was a great help getting around the area and even as far out as to Brunico.
Eating out in SC was limited but a great find was the restaurant at the campsite of Sass Diacia.

I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.

Colfosco is great for the views.
Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries.
The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites.
While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.

La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc
We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.

La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.

Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.
Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.

San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area...
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.

This small town is surrounded by Italian Alps which allow travelers to stay calm and peaceful mood. Convenient stores were available in the city center. It is easy to access to any hotel from main road to the edge of mountains. Location of this town is in between Ortisei and Cinque Torri which makes this town as stopover for a night for Dolomites pilgrimage. Of course, multiple night stay is also recommended. In summer time, air and temperature can refresh tired body and release stress. Highly recommendable with two thumbs up.
