Great little hotel, warning - we didn't expect it behind a large steel door amongst a ruined building. But once you step inside the gate you are transported to a beautiful secluded garden and a very well kept hotel. We loved everything about this place. The room was comfortable and unique, breakfast was great, we enjoyed the jacuzzi in the afternoons and the pool even at the end of February, and just sitting in the garden in general. Very close to the historical town center, only about 10-15 mins walk. Also, I would recommend that you try the restaurant on the square just to the right of the hotel walls. We only discovered it on our last night there, but what a gem! Thank you for a great, relaxing stay.

This hotel exceeded our expectations with its exceptional service and attention to detail. During breakfast, the hotel’s young daughter Giorgia went above and beyond by thoughtfully preparing chocolate and almond chocolate when my husband ordered an Americano and I ordered an espresso. Staff member Maria Autonietia was also incredibly kind. The hotel’s elder daughter Silvia, who served as the daytime receptionist, was always friendly and welcoming. The evening receptionist Olga deserves praise for her spot-on recommendations of delicious and reasonably priced local restaurants. The beautifully decorated central garden added to the charm of our stay. We were truly grateful for the wonderful experience.

The amenities were great and the staff made our stay all the more enjoyable. The concierge helped us with our luggage, accommodation, parking at the hotel and to the airport (because we had a car) and how to navigate the public transport system. Big shout out to Georgia! The resort is situated in a beautiful location with volcanoe , Mt Etna always in one’s view. The hotel and golf course are worth the some what stressful drive up to it’s location. Hotel staff were professional, friendly, and caring to guests needs. Food was delicious with reasonable rates. Room with a breathe taking view of a plush vineyard. Ok the golf course. Great staff. Course is in great shape. Greens hard and fast. Fairways mostly narrow bordered by old in bloom leaves. Very little water. Only issue of concern was that fact of two free roaming dogs which I saw running on the back nine. Golf staff assured me both friendly farm dogs. I highly recommend the hotel and golf course.

Gorgeous location in one of the most beautiful parts of the world!! I personally love the layout and decor of this hotel. It reminds me of the way hotels used to be- spacious and sprawling with nooks and secret crannies to go discover. The staff is always available and always friendly. The food is top notch and the location is the best is Taormina. The beds were comfortable and although I understand why many people suggest renovating, I’d hate to see this hotel turned into one of those sterile, cold, tiny box room claustrophobic and darkly lit 5 star hotels. I’d rather imagine myself in a convertible with Fellini with cat glasses and scarf back when la dolce vita wasn’t just a fantasy

Great location near airport and out of Palermo city. It is right on the beach and off the beaten path. The patios and pools around the property are really beautiful. Cefalu was our forth and last stop of our vacation to Sicilia. I went here based on reviews on social media. while a very clean nice town, I actually would not return. It is too touristy and artificially expensive for my liking. the beach is big, but lots of pebbles/rocks at the entry to the water. Also, the town is very busy, even the part which is new, with honking, crazy drivers and people staring at you like they want to kill you. we walked the old town streets, which were pretty, the restaurants were ok, but not amazing; one night we were very rudely turned away by 4 restaurants that closed their kitchens before 10 PM..which I found unusual, as I thought they eat late. Anyway..I think the fact that they get a lot of tourists make them not care about customer service, which I have to admit I found it the least pleasant out of our 4 locations. I think it is personal preference, we like small fishing villages, old towns that have less tourist traps and more authentic shops/restaurants. I am glad we went to Cefalu but would not return. I do want to return to Sicilia and see more of the south and maybe inland, where farms and authenticity is more present.

I love both beaches and lively city centers at the same time and Trapani can offer that. A perfect cable car trip directly from Trapani to historic Erice. A beautiful sunset and a view of the illuminated Trapani. Interesting places in the vicinity: Segesta and Selinunte archeological parks, the very unusual Nuova Gibellina (plus Cretto di Buri) and bustling Palermo with majestic monuments. There are plenty of great restaurants in Trapani. I can't miss the Meno Tredici gelateria in the harbor and the great arancini at Al Pollero da Roberto.

Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. For those that understand I am sure must be fascinating.

Beautiful town, full of life at night. Easily walkable, flat streets. Beach is nice and long, with multiple free areas. It's a gorgeous scene with the huge mountains, and lighthouse at the other end. It is definitely more of a touristy feel, as we went in August. Definitely explore up and down the peninsula, as there's excellent beaches and coves to swim at as well!

Giardini-Naxos and the surrounding towns are, however, unusually dirty, with a lot of litter scattered along the streets. The beach, on the other hand, has wonderfully clean and clear water. People are helpful. Traveling around, take time. The only rush is in traffic. If you travel by rental car, it helps to have a good map reader in the passenger seat and a calm mind. Honking is simply a part of the traffic culture. A motorcyclist may pass you on either the right or the left. Focus on the traffic is the most important thing. When choosing a rental car, you should go for one with medium power. Otherwise, it may not make it up the hills. We had a Toyota Yaris 1500 Petrol Hybrid Automatic. It was ok. An automatic gearbox makes driving easier.
