The hotel is located in an excellent location. The reception staff is super friendly and helpful, they thought about everything. Spacious, beautiful and very comfortable room. Windows are sound proof.

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.
Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. The resort is situated in a beautiful location with volcanoe , Mt Etna always in one’s view. The hotel and golf course are worth the some what stressful drive up to it’s location. Hotel staff were professional, friendly, and caring to guests needs. Food was delicious with reasonable rates. Room with a breathe taking view of a plush vineyard. Ok the golf course. Great staff. Course is in great shape. Greens hard and fast. Fairways mostly narrow bordered by old in bloom leaves. Very little water. Only issue of concern was that fact of two free roaming dogs which I saw running on the back nine. Golf staff assured me both friendly farm dogs. I highly recommend the hotel and golf course.

Fantastic, full of contradictions, amazing food, friendly people. It's loud and chaotic one minute and calm and quite the next, but normally noisy. try to get off the beaten track and explore the backstreets and try the restaurants you find and definitely eat at the stalls in the markets.
Thoroughly recommend it if you want a city break with a bit of adventure.

If you planning to travel it is super easy as bus connects you to lots of cities and villages around Catania.
We didn't experience delays, the buses where clean and comfortable.
Almost every restaurant we went food was fantastic but have to highlight tiramisu in Spaghetti and Co.
We also visited food and clothes market it was great fun.
Catania will surprise in very positive way i would definitely go back.

My rating is for the island of ortigia in Siracusa. I visited one night and one afternoon, stayed at a hotel 10 min drive from Ortigia that had free parking since we had a car which was good because we did a day trip to Noto and Modica.
Oritigia was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by water, beautiful buildings and architecture, great shops and restaurants and they had nice fountains, old ruins and the castle. A MUST SEE when you are in Sicily.

Agrigento offers so much more than the Valley of the Temples. It is a beautiful city with stairway alleys, beautiful buildings, and a love of culture. Highly recommend that you reserve a few hours for the city once you’ve covered the incredible ruins.

We liked Trapani a lot - it was a loose, laid back town with excellent food and friendly people. It was lively but not hectic, it had an active feel but not frantic. There were some tourists, but the town had the feeling of not relying too much on them, and of having a life and identity of its own.

A beautiful spot to explore, steeped in history. Ragusa is a great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved walking the winding streets of Ragusa Ibla. The churches were wonderful to wander inside. We had a wonderful meal at Bar Degli Archi opposite the church of Purgatory.

Giardini Naxos is a typical Sicilian tourist beachside resort with a beautiful sandy beach, many beach clubs and an abundance of bars, restaurants, cafes, gift shops etc. You can catch a local bus to the beautiful Taormina. There is also a train station if you would like to travel further afield.

As parking is difficult in these narrow streeted Roman...
As parking is difficult in these narrow streeted Roman villages, it's better to find a pay as you go carpark and walk easily around the town, discovering everything to offer, which is a lot in Noto, Beautiful churches, Baroque style buildings, piazzas with nice cafes and quaint parks to sit and ponder, what to do next.
