IsraelI really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Miratorre Superior in Pisa. The room was clean, spacious, and stylish, with modern design, high-end electrical outlets, and a brand-new bathroom. Everything was quiet and comfortable, and the AC was excellent—perfectly cold during the hot summer. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the warm croissants and freshly brewed espresso. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

For Rome this is GREAT! They also have a dry cleaning service.

The reception was impeccable, valet as well. The parking was a bit on the expensive side, but it's right in the center of Florence. The room was perfect, cleaning of the rooms was perfect as well. Would definitely recommend and come back here. The location of the hotel is 5-10min walk to the most important places in Florence as well!!

Florence is a very romantic city.
Florence is a very romantic city. Which every way you turn your head, the are views that make you stop in your tracks. The view from Michaelangelo square is breath taking. Make sure to take the walk up there. There is an endless choice of restaurants, pizzareas and ice cream shops. Our favorite restaurant was II Grande Nuti Trattoria near to Cathederal Santa Maria. There is great shopping in Florence. My teenage daughters' favorites stores in Florence central are Brandy Melville and Subdued. We also took the shopping bus to the very modern shopping mall Gigli for more great shopping. My daughters' favorite store there is Hollister. In the evenings, our favorite thing to do was hang out at Budellino Bistrot and eat focaccia stuffed with ham,cheese and tomatoes and whatever else we wanted. The owner there is the most friendly man we met in Florence.

Avoid the tower in the morning as the tour groups swamp the cathedral piazza. Book a ticket for the late afternoon. Away from that though is a real Italian town, largely ignored by most of the visitors, with ancient buildings, some great museums and all kinds of high class food and drink. The locals are welcoming, and most businesses are fluent in English.

Much busier than I had anticipated; wish we would have had more time to get off the beaten path and see more of the quieter spots. Did a wine tasting at La Lostra which we highly recommend! Taxis are very difficult to get so prepare in advance and hire a private driver if possible.

You don't need more than 2 nights/3 days to see everything. Not overrun with tourists like some other Italian destinations. Definitely rent a bike and ride along the walls of the city. Lots of towers to climb and churches to visit. Food was exceptional and fairly priced. The town is small but not too small that you run out of activities to do. Locals were all friendly.

I would have gone only for the day, the city was expensive compared to other beautiful places in Tuscany. There weren't many restaurants to have dinner, but during the day there were plenty of activities.

There's not a lot there.
There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses.
We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenals

Arezzo was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever been. We went when the Antiques Fair was on and the Giostra del Saracino and there was such a great vibe and atmosphere there. We absolutely loved Arezzo and would definitely go back for longer.

Pienza is a gem, with interesting historic buildings, lovely shops, some nice restaurants and breathtaking views. Importantly, it is a perfect basis to explore Val d'Orcia with its fantastic countryside, and beautiful old towns like Montalcino, Montepulciano etc.

A very attractive town.
The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days.
The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried.
Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.
