The highlight of our stay was the incredible food and drinks. The iced tea was the best we’ve ever tasted, and the pizza was absolutely divine! Every bite and sip transported us to a place of pure bliss.
Whisky Point Resort truly feels like a little paradise nestled within an already paradise-like island. The serene ambiance, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the staff, makes this a must-visit destination. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. We’ll be back for sure!

United StatesHad a wonderful stay at Bay Vista. The two men working the front desk were so kind and helpful, they went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They helped arrange surf lessons and transportation. Room was clean and comfortable, and there is a lot of room in the restaurant/gardens area to relax. It was nice to have beach chairs right in front of the property. The yoga class on the rooftop each evening was lovely. The hotel is in a great location, about a 10 minute walk along the beach to the main point for surfing every day and it is central to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely return!

FranceExcellent location, 10 minutes by foot from Arugam Bay, Pasarichenai beach and city center. This homestay is outside enough to avoid the crowd and noise from the city center. It's run by a very sweet family who offered us drinks at our arrival.
This very rustic place also has a restaurant with tasty food and affordable prices (recommend the home-made rottis).
For those who wish a nice, calm home stay outside while being able to enjoy Arugam Bay.
NB: They also have a cheap tuktuk you can use to get around.

This place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views all around! The hotel itself is big, stylish, and very comfortable. We really loved the nature here — everything is so green, peaceful, and full of life. The atmosphere is amazing — cozy, private, and relaxing.
One of the highlights for us were the dogs — so friendly and sweet, they made our stay even more special! 🐶
The hotel doesn’t have too many rooms, which makes it feel more private and exclusive — perfect for a peaceful, quiet holiday. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help with anything.
The hotel has a large area with beautiful spaces, amazing design, and lots of places to relax and enjoy. Everything feels thought-through and high quality.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it! 💫

My days in Augam Bay at Surf Beach Hotel made most of my Sri Lankan journey: the owners (Deen and family), accomodation closed to the sea, surf classes with Deen and his staff, local people, sea and jungle, wonderful spot.. They all stole my heart.
I spent more days than it was expected in Arugam Bay, surely because of the lovely atmosphere of this guest house, able to connect you immediately with the local life and people.
Nice rooms, very clean and quiet in the night.
If you need something (advices on food/places, laundry, surf/yoga/whatever classes, nightlife, chilling,..) just ask Deen and he will surely help you as much as possible, making you feeling like home.
Thank you for the lovely time, looking forward to be back at your place soon!

Great location on the quiet side of the beach. Only a 5-10 minute walk away from the busier side of town but this makes the difference at night. The staff are very helpful and kind. This is my 2nd time staying and the tree huts are very comfortable and a great base in Arugam Bay.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.
You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded,
Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
