RussiaExcellent location - 20 meters to the beach, the Main Street with all caffès and shops. 15 min driving to Peanut Farm - the starting point for beginners in surfing. Banana Cafe is just next to the hotel and has very nice food and drinks. Mohammed is very friendly, he gave us delicious cakes, arranged surfing classes for us, always helped us with everything we need. Other staff were also very helpful.
The room was clean, has good AC, the bed was comfy. We really enjoyed staying at Lucky Bay.

Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything.
We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry.
Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze.
Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef.
Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests.
There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes.
The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise.
At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves.
Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

My recent stay at Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort in Arugambay was absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home.
The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the serene atmosphere that allowed for complete relaxation. The location is truly ideal, offering easy access to the beautiful beach and the vibrant local scene, yet providing a peaceful retreat when you want to unwind.
The service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met with a friendly smile. Their genuine hospitality truly made a difference and contributed significantly to a memorable experience.

VietnamThe staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. There’s a kitchen with a fridge and cooking facilities, which was great! It’s in a great location, close enough to the beach and restaurants, but far enough from the busy main strip if you want some quiet time. The staff also cooked me the best food on request! Even better than what I had at any restaurant!

This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants.
