They checked us in at noon since we arrived early. And when we left, our flight was late and we left our luggage in the hotel until 20:00 so we could have a leisurely walk in the city. I came after a long trip by bus, I arrived after 24 hours in a bus, I came early to check-IN, like 11 AM, I was expecting they to tell me "sorry check IN at 2 PM" I was so tired, I came and they gave me a room immediately, I was so happy, I came the room, perfectly clean, my own bathroom, hot water, so I took a shower and rested so well. The guy from reception was super friendly and speaking in my own language, Spanish, so I could not feel any better in this hotel.

The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was so delicious! The location is close to the bus station, if you would like to go to another city or country. Flix bus also waits there. I had a feeling I was in a pirate ship in that hotel, so cool!

Hotel is situated in the edge of the old town and all the landmarks in Riga are quite close by, the staff was really nice, amicable and really help full. The room is pretty nice and clean and quite comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

The location is amazing, good room, good breakfast, clean sheets and towels. We had also access to the spa, it is a little bit small (there were many people there) but still it’s fine, pool, sauna and steam bath.

Great ambience during X-mas.
Great ambience during X-mas. All places for eating in the old town are quite expensive. You can find more reasonable prices in the Central market of Riga (near bus station). Of course, the difference is apparently service, because they bring you food at the restaurants, whereas you have to take it by yourself in the market.

Riga has real character and many places of interest.
Riga has real character and many places of interest. My favourite event was the concert at the Opera House by Michael Spyres (1612/25).
The concert by Anete Graudina at St Peter’s Church was brilliant; the church was packed and it was a packed house.
My favourite place was the Art Nouveau museum.
We ate at Petergailis; the food there was superb; very high quality and efficient and polite service.
Also, Lido serves great food at very reasonable prices.
It’s easy to get around Riga with good bus and tram services and good signage.

Locals were friendly and helpful. Prices were a bit less than uk if you dined where the locals dined.
Quality of food was very good with lots of cakes etc available. (I was good and avoided them )
Use local bus to and from airport takes about 30mins
Would only reconfirm a day or two unless you plan trips outside if Rīga Otho to events.
