Very quiet, impeccably clean, all amenities at hand, friendly and helpful desk service, some night snacks in the fridge, and sandwiches for breakfast. The restaurant was excellent. The food and service were as fine as any Micheli Bib Gourmand restaurant we have enjoyed.
The property accommodated all ages, with spa, sporting activities, and children's playground, all at a pleasantly modest scale that made all feel welcome at this lake resort. I would recommend the Baltvilla for a short overnight stay or for a week's vacation.

Very nice place. The cottage was clean, super cozy and had everything you need for a night.
Amazing view. Toilet is nearby. There’s a place for barbecue, and fire wood can be purchased.

Great ambience during X-mas.
Great ambience during X-mas. All places for eating in the old town are quite expensive. You can find more reasonable prices in the Central market of Riga (near bus station). Of course, the difference is apparently service, because they bring you food at the restaurants, whereas you have to take it by yourself in the market.

Jūrmala during winter is very quiet, with not many people around, making it perfect for relaxing. At the same time, the town still feels alive – many places remain open, including restaurants like Veranda and Marmar Café, as well as shops and concert venues.
There is a water park nearby, and you can easily take a train or bus to Riga in about 40 minutes for a short visit. Jūrmala beach is ideal for a long walk or even a swim, depending on the season.

In march the was not much happening in the town.
In march the was not much happening in the town. Rates Varti restaurant was cosy but the dishes were served almost cold. The lunch in the Wolmar Hotel cost only 6 euros beeing well worth it. The Olympic Casino was a strange place for gambling addicts.

I like the hotel because of its location, cleanliness and customer service at the reception.
I did not like the restaurant and its staff because they do not serve enough food at the breakfast even though you pay for it. If you do not go to breakfast early, you only get some leftovers. They do not bring any additional food for missing items.

Great small town.
Great small town. Big attractions are the castle; the forest walks for hikers; the nearby outdoor activity centre with kayaking etc; lovely restaurants and cafes - good food but not expensive.
Friendly people, courteous drivers, feels very safe to stroll around.

A hidden pearl of Latvia and Old Livonia with an island resort in the middle. Despite being almost 200 km from the seashore the city had an inspiring shore holiday feel with a great beach side island in the middle of the city.
Great place to learn about the history and the origin of written Latvian language.

Riga has real character and many places of interest.
Riga has real character and many places of interest. My favourite event was the concert at the Opera House by Michael Spyres (1612/25).
The concert by Anete Graudina at St Peter’s Church was brilliant; the church was packed and it was a packed house.
My favourite place was the Art Nouveau museum.
We ate at Petergailis; the food there was superb; very high quality and efficient and polite service.
Also, Lido serves great food at very reasonable prices.
It’s easy to get around Riga with good bus and tram services and good signage.

There is spa available for day pass £25 for adult for 2.5 hours in Jurmala Spa hotel. No need to book in, walk in welcome. Excellent facilities and kids friendly lots to do. I went twice wile on my trip. Lots of lovely restaurants, bubs and shops to explore for all liking. You can have lovely walk on the beach, it has activitys available and Caffè to enjoy during and view even if it's windy.

Pleasant small city with an indoor shopping mall and a surprising number of attractions. The hotel restaurant is quite good, and other restaurants are within a moderate walk or an easy drive. Reasonable parking available near the church and the shopping mall.
