FinlandExceptional service, facilities and location. One of the best views we’ve ever had in a hotel room. We LOVED the breakfast - all high quality and delicious. The location is a 10-minute drive from Kotor and Perast. This ended up being perfect as it felt like we were in a little sanctuary here. Our bed was extra comfy and we slept well.
When leaving, we forgot an item in our room and they were able to send it to our next location. This just speaks volumes about the extra effort they put in to take care or their guests. The receptionist was superb - extremely helpful and likeable. So very grateful for having been able to stay at Vizura. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family! Vizura is definitely where you want to stay in Kotor.

It's very peaceful and in close proximity to Kotor old town and other attractions/ towns - especially if you have a car with the added benefit of being away from the hussle and bussle. The staff really did make a huge difference - extremely helpful, friendly and always smiling. No request ever seemed to be an issue! Could not recommend this hotel any more.

Even though we had some issues with our booking, our host, Florina, went out of her way to make sure we felt super welcome, which really made our stay amazing. The hotel is an old castle in a perfect spot within the citadel, offering an incredible view of the sea.
Our room was really spacious and could easily fit a whole family. The beds were comfy too. One of the best parts was the private access to a secluded rock beach, where you can enjoy the Adriatic coastline without dealing with the crowds of Ulcinj.
There are plenty of great restaurants nearby with awesome views, but I'd definitely recommend the hotel's restaurant. We had the most delicious breakfast there. Plus, our host speaks perfect French, which could be a big help for non-English speakers.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll come back for sure !

One of the most friendliest staff we had in Montenegro! They were super helpful when are flight got canceled and moved our booking to a day after the origianly scheduled day.

Lovely city.
Lovely city. Beautiful and you can explore it as much or as little as you like. Beautiful scenery. Not fully pushchair friendly though. But it is an old town that was built long before pushchairs were invented. We did a day exploring with baby in the pushchair and then another day with the baby in the carrier so we could access more areas. Loads of shops, places to eat and drink. Been for the last 3 years in a row because we love it so much.

Perast is a tiny, beautiful village full of history.
Perast is a tiny, beautiful village full of history. Staying here keeps you away from the crowds of Kotor at night. During the day the crowds show up here, too, but you will be gone. Exploring the coast, the sea or just cycling.
From the seaside you can also watch cruise ships enter and leave the bay.
The best restaurant in Montenegro is in Perast.

Dobrota is a short walk from the old town. It is best to stay outside the old town if you have a car. The walk to the old town is along the bay, so you won’t feel it is a long way.

Cheaper place on the Montenegrin cost and afordable to swim and later eat and have a drink and have good enough accommodation. If you have a car you can go to Perast, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Tivat, or by bus as well.

A very small peaceful place in the Kotor Bay. We were there in August and there was no public events, parties, or other entertaining options. You have only few local stores, a bakery, few restaurants, and a beach to enjoy. The only road leading through Prcanj is pretty very stressful to drive it. It is very narrow and windy with blind corners and yes, count with many stops and much longer ride because of busy traffic. If you need more contents, Kotor is a very nice city to visit nd not so far.

Good self catering apartment equipped with basic kitchen utensils for cooking. Would be helpful to have some necessities such as cooking oil, salt and pepper, which guests staying only a few nights as we did, are unlikely to purchase. Two double bedrooms and two bathrooms means the apartment would be particularly good value when shared between more than one family. Good base for exploring Boka Bay, though there are options closer to Kotor if this is your main reason for visiting. All in all we found the apartment a great base for our short trip. The pool area was lovely with sensational views. We would have liked to know that there was no cafe/ bar on site however, as the photos showed, as this was part of the reason we chose this particular apartment. During the day we ate at Tramontana Beach Bar which was lovely - a bonus was the children’s play area. We had a day out exploring Boka Bay with a private hire boat company - Taxi Boat 65. We found this to be an excellent way to make the most of our short time there and our skipper to be very knowledgeable and informative. On this day we ate at Ribarsko selo - a fish/ seafood restaurant accessed by boat. The setting was beautiful and the food wonderful. You do need to book ahead.

Donji Stoliv is a quiet and beautiful village, offering an authentic local atmosphere away from the tourist crowds. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Kotor in a calm, stress-free setting.
There are a couple of nice restaurants and a small shop within walking distance, so there’s no real need to go anywhere else unless you want to. It’s an ideal spot for a slow, relaxing holiday surrounded by nature and local life.

Pricey for a Balkan country, but they are on the Euro. Riding a bike around the bay is a nice way to spend 5 hours. The Old Town area can be in a day. If you go to the castle add more time. You can use Kotor as a base to visit other beach towns and nature excursions. When I was there, construction was being done on the main road south of Kotor making the ride longer than normal.

Perast is a magical place, almost removed from time. The situation on the waterside surrounded in all sides by mountains is breathtaking. The walk along the promenade each evening is a rare pleasure. There are plentiful good restaurants inside Perast itself as well as local oyster and mussels farms a short walk from the town, that serve delicious food. The boat trip to the island and the Blue Cave is also well worth doing.
