A small and cozy hotel in the heart of Sliema where you feel super welcomed. The location of the hotel is perfect, there is everything you may need nearby. The rooms are nicely decorated, super clean and equipped with all the essentials. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic, the restaurant area is cozy and peaceful. Everyone working at the hotel is super friendly, attentive and helpful. If I happen to visit Malta again, I would choose Amery House without any doubt.

The hotel looks really royal with its decorations, red velvet carpets on the curved staircases in the lobby and paintings on the wall. Room was nice and spacious and clean. The only thing which was not absolutely perfect was the side sea view from our room on the 10th floor, we could see sea only partially, the rest of the view was to the roof of the hotel annex. But still it was nice to see the buildings on the other side of the bay, especially in the evening when lighted up. The receptionist of the hotel was very friendly and we had a nice little chat with him which made us feel like really welcomed. The hotel has high standards of service. Breakfast was enjoyable, good variety, fresh omelettes and pancakes are prepared by the cook, nice fresh bread. Variety of juices, fried mushrooms, salads, ham and salmon etc. Everything that you could wish for breakfast. Location was excellent, even closer to Valletta old town than we expected. Nice short walk by foot. Although there were some staircases to go up the hill. It was wonderful that the hotel had 2 pools - outdoor and indoor and both were open in February. We have had bad experiences in other hotels where pools are really seasonal and empty. But it was not the case here. We got really nice warm and sunny days approx. 19-20 degrees perfect for sunbathing at the pool. Although, we preferred to swim in indoor pool which was warmer, just 2 steps from outside to reach there. The hotel has its own little marina and we were picked up from there for a day trip. Another convenience that we could not expect. There was a small desk at the reception where day trips were offered, a really nice elderly guy gave a good overview of the possible trips and encouraged us to take Gozo-Comino-Blue lagoon boat trip in February which we really enjoyed. These islands and the lagoon felt like in summer, we even took a short swim in blue lagoon (water 16 degrees). It was very popular, we had a big tourist bus full of people.

1. Constant flow of food including late breakfast and lunch 2. Good selection of salad and cheese 3. Different restaurant choices for dinner(need to book with a machine downstairs in the lobby) 4. Small indoor swimming is also available 5. There were 2 bowling alleys and arcades in the pub with extra cost 6. There were some activities everyday for all ages 7. Water refill facility in the lobby( environmentally friendly) 8. Truly all inclusive with alcoholic drinks(some people complained that spirits were diluted but it was fun to try many cocktails everyday coz I am not a big drinker) 9. You can walk to Popeyes village in 15 mins. 10. Ferry terminal is close. Around €8 by taxi 11. Beach is right in front. Shallow and clear water(but just too cold to swim in Apr) 12. There is a convenience store and restaurants nearby.

Hotel is in a great spot, a lot of restaurants and stores around and the bus station is right in front of the entrance. Clean, spacious rooms that are well air conditioned. The pool and the spa are really nice areas to spend time when you're off the beach :) The location of the hotel is such that you can wasily visit any part of Malta using the public transport. The location is excellent, on the quiet part of the peninsula. There are many shops, restaurants, in the evening it is nice to walk by the sea. Our suite was large and clean on the 7th floor overlooking the street. However, it has good insulation and you can sleep in silence. The apartment is air-conditioned, the kitchen has everything needed for cooking.

First of all, people have to realize this is kind of tough city to navigate due to the uneven street surfaces and there are quite a few hills so if you have issues with mobility this may not be a good place to visit. Other than that, this city pleasantly surprised me. Lots to see, visited Sleima-worth it, visited the 3 cities-worth it and visited Cozo-worth it. Ferry system is great. Loved the ride share Bolt-great service. I was there in November and it was quite busy with visitors so I would assume the summers are quite packed here, just FYI. Malta is a great place to visit.

We did not have the pleasure of staying at the property.

We did not have the pleasure of staying at the property. Two days before our departure, our flight to Malta was cancelled by the airline due to a national strike. Although we promptly informed the property, they did not accept the possibility of changing the dates and kept the full amount of the stay, citing policies that Booking.com accepts without any comment. We are outraged with both the property and Booking.com. If these are the services that Booking.com offers its customers, even though I am a Genius Level 2 customer, I think I'll have to do without it in the future.

Great little town, with easy acces to the beach and public transport options to discover the rest of the island. Great sides to visit in and around town, be mindful of all the stairs, lots if up- and downhill in town. A good variety of restaurants on offer, with supermarkets for other daily needs. There is a bus that goes to the airport (approx. 1hr 20min)

The bay area is lovely and full of cafes and eateries many of which are reasonably priced. Walking round the harbour (right side as you face it from the main bus stop) there are a number of constructed salt pans designed to provide a home for sea life when the tide is out which was really interesting to see. A bit further along was a newly renovated fort, St Thomas Tower, which had an incredibly interesting history focusing on piracy and the corsairs! The only downside to staying in Marsaskala was the extensive work being carried out on the harbour front itself which blocked the lovely view while sitting in the cafes.

Msida looks like a good midway point between Valleta and Sliema, but it's really a residential neighborhood with not much to offer to someone coming to Malta for vacation. In between the constant construction and abandoned and derelict houses, it's quite unsightly. On the flip-side, since it's residential, you get some good local spots with affordable prices and great quality.

We were glad that we stayed out of the centre of Valletta in this more peaceful area and yet it was very close to the centre and we really enjoyed the walk back to the apartment after visiting Valletta. In the area there are lots of things that are on the Floriana Historic trail. You are close enough to the centre to walk to restaurants in the evening but we had a lovely meal sat outside at Balzunetta restaurant.
