We recommend buying a travel card for 25 EUR for unlimited travel for seven days including the airport and Gozo (not the ferry). As a person who does not like partying, I should have at least done an in depth research about the place because it was noisy at night especially with cars honking and revving and drunk people shouting. The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. The main streets are full of people off cruise ships who follow their guide around and stop on street corners making walking a bit of a challenge for older pedestrians. If you want to be close to the most beautiful beaches — Golden Bay and Paradise Bay — Mellieħa is the right place to stay. Everything is nearby, including the port for the ferry to Gozo Island. In the evenings, you can take a walk along Marina Bay, where you’ll find many different restaurants and a lovely atmosphere. I stayed just off Ta Xbiex so they were convenient stores, cafés, restaurants, and so many other amenities. One restaurant I frequently because of the great food and the great staff was kebab King. Frequent and numerous busses made this area very convenient. Walking or taking a bus to Valletta allowed for easy transportation to almost any place else on the island.Guest review byHowardCanada - 10
Nice area at the heart of the 3 cities.
Nice area at the heart of the 3 cities. While the surroundings are similar to Valetta, there is less tourists and more tranquility. Valetta is 2,5Euros and less than 10 minutes away with the ferry that runs every 30'. Plenty of water front eateries, cafes and bars. Not to miss.Guest review byTDARGreece
