- From EGP 12,469.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 961 reviewsWe spent eight nights at the Coral Azur. I highly recommend the hotel. Below are the specifics. We arranged transportation to/from the airport with hotel. We had five adults. The total round trip cost per person was ~$40 USD. It was efficient and easy. The rides to/from the hotel were just under an hour. All communication with the hotel was efficient. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM. The check-in staff allowed us to eat off the buffet (closed at 10 PM) for no charge. We did not ask to eat or say we were hungry. They just said “help yourself.” In all of our travels, this was a first! Check was relatively easy. Rooms are standard size with a balcony. I think all rooms are ocean view, which is a nice perk. Also, one can view the excellent sunsets from the balcony. Our room had a fridge, safe, good shower pressure with hot water, and toilets that flushed without problem. Pool area was nice with plenty of chairs. The hotel has nightly entertainment. Breakfast buffet was good with a large selection and included everything one would want for breakfast, including mimosas! Breakfast, and dinner if one chooses to eat at the hotel, is in an open-air restaurant. To minimize the impact of birds, the staff provide bread outside of the restaurant. It works reasonably well but not 100%. Be prepared for birds flying around during meals. There are plenty of taxis available outside the hotel. We negotiated service with one taxi driver for the week. They took our family to town for shopping, etc. We also used them for a ride to dinner every evening. The area has several nice restaurants but very few within walking distance. It was cost effective to eat out than eat at the hotel. If you would like information on our driver, message me and I will send you his contact information. Jennifer Lopez. Everyone meets JL. She is a nice person dedicated to the resort. She goes over the top to make everyone feel welcome.Guest review byJohnUnited States
- From EGP 36,759.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 688 reviewsBest place in Mauritius to stay in! Trou Aux Biches/Grand Baie is an awesome location and a stay in Sakoa Boutik is the cherry on top. Such a tasteful and beautiful property - it simply blends in while providing all kinds of luxuries. The rooms are huge and have all the amenities that you could ask for, with a big verandah to chill out in the evenings. The direct access to the beach and the facilities provided on the beach by the hotel is so convenient that it kind of spoils you because you start expecting this kind of treatment everywhere (and quickly realize it's only the expensive lux resorts that do this). And a big bonus - some of the water activities are already included when you stay with them. Simply let them know what you would like to do and when.Guest review bySujayIndia

Mauritius is called by its locals as paradise island i mean everyone says amazing things about the country they originate from however the people of mauritius truly mean it when they say it, its a beautiful colourful, green and tropical country with endless miles of beaches always a stone throw away. where ever you go you see beautiful coconut trees, palm trees and mango trees and some stunning birds, colourful dragon flies and bats the nature alone is so breathtaking. the food, the locals, the price point of excursions, the weather and the beaches were literally out of this world. its a country that i would genuinely consider going again and again infact i actually cant wait to step back into mauritous and forget my blues, if your a avid diver or snorkler then mauritius is a must, we did so much in the space of 9 days from paragliding, snorking with turtles, undersea water walking, diving, water sking, off road riding using ATVs/quad bikes, watched horse racing, zip lining, shopping in there vibrant colourful markets, visiting historical sites that were rich with history and different cultures, eating out local street food and world class cuisines for very little money. super affordable and what a beautiful hidden gem of a country. family and myself were completely blown away by it to the point we are rethinking ever going back to places like dubai over beautiful tropical natural countries like mauritius. we also had a friendly parrot that would visit us daily and gladly sit amongst us without being scared or shy and share some food with us.Guest review byImranUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Absolutely lovely, loved my time at Troux Aux Biches. The sand is soft compared to other beaches that I've been in Mauritius. The atmosphere was not crowded , which is good for me as I have society anxiety. Got breathtaking pics of the sunset xx can't wait to comeback xx !!!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We both enjoyed the stay. The staff was polite, respectful. they couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable. Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.Guest review byCzech girlCzech Republic - 10.0

There are 3-4 notable restaurants, up to 5 street food options. winner's has everything you need. The beach is very good, if it was crystal clear that would be dreamy. Sunday evening (confirmed from a local, it's happening every week) a bit loud, a bit different than others. Difficult to eat outside because of the high volume.Guest review byMutluTurkey - 10.0

An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie.
An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie. Perfect for couples. There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices. The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.Guest review byVeraUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Roches Noires is a nice place.
Roches Noires is a nice place. Keep in mind that in our summer (july / august) it is winter over there and the east coast will have a constant breeze (up to 4 BFT). Having a rental car we found that almost all of the days we would drive to the west or south coast as there is no wind on that side during their winter.Guest review byMarkNetherlands
