The room was big, nice and clean with a lovely view from the window. Our room was on the ground floor and we could walk to our private beach in and out.
The beds are super comfortable!

The location is great and with the best sunset view.

RussiaEVERYTHING. The stuff is extremely polite and friendly, helped us a lot with every question. We enjoyed the stay. The rooms are simple but very very clean. The ISLAND IS GORGEOUS. We were choosing it among all and it is one of the rarest that has all plusses together: long sand bank, beautiful snorkeling, diving with the whale sharks (we saw them) and with mantas (we were lack of time to do both). The island has some constructions, but it doesn't bother much). To reach the island was easy coz everything was very organized. So, we are very happy with our choice. Went after this to the Resort (Centara Ras Fushi), was also good. The best is to combine local island and resort to fulfill the whole trip with great and various emotions. For Dhigura island I would make 3 days (we had only 2) and for resort 3 would be also enough.

From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. The northern part of the island is where are the local village, hotels, restaurants (there is a good selection of them) and shops located. The southern part, in other hand, is covered by lush tropical forest. There are walking paths through the island. We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view.
